There should be an option to update the firmware somewhere within the TV's menu if it supports updates. Usually, it's labeled as 'product support' or something similar.

DLM, did you manage to do something about your TV's HDMI port? If there's a local TV service outlet near your place, someone from there can come and replace the port easily.
I've seen a Sony Bravia's HDMI port get replaced, and the entire process took around an hour.
P.S. Before doing all of this, try updating your TV's firmware (if such an option is there on your TV).
Do you reckon Rayman Origins is worth getting for $5? Is there any additional content for the Vita version?

P.S. Yup, that was indeed a shitty thread. One of the guys you were arguing with labeled an Infamous 2 screenshot as "bullshot". Goes to show how uninformed he was.
And while the retina contraction thing was indeed present in Half-Life 2, it was nowhere near as convincing as the implementation in TLoU. The game didn't even have dynamic lighting or GI lol. It was more or less a scripted thing that triggered accordingly every time you entered a brighter or darker setting. In TLoU, it alters on-the-fly in rooms/areas that are lit in some regions while not lit in others.
So, I don't need to downgrade before updating?
