Nokia N97 review: Lock, stock and touch

WOW thats amazing one thing nokia has announced to sale it at offical in pakistan at marriot

wow...its so beautiful...i think by its release...the N95 prices will drop off soon .

last night i was watching gadget guru and they were discussing this phone, looks like Nokia dont have anything new now same mobile with some extra features

I'm not impressed by the hardware, nothing new or outta this world, just software improved, that's it. still a very nice phone

Good phone but missing few critical pieces

1) No Dual SIM ---- WHY WHY WHY

2) No Integrated Stylus to jot down stuff - would be great if there would add a ballpen to it

3) Main panel keypad too small

1) Dual Sim is a bullshit... just an addon by chinese phones to make their phones unique... it isn't important at all.

2) These things are not critical at all... there's no stylus in iPhone either and it doesn't need one... neither does a N97 need one.

N97 is just the perfect phone one could ever think of... got almost all damn features which a perfect phone must have. Better camera, better performance, sexy design... come on, its a second best symbian phone ever. 1st one was N95-8GB

I will get this phone within a month, just for checking for about 3 days, and will make a review. BTW 5800's touch sucked bigtime, hope this one is as good as iPhones touch

5.1 surround sound card builtin :s *How did they managed to get that inside a phone?*
Beautiful and slim model,
180* viewing angle of OLED screen,
10 hours TALKTIME !!!!!!

Only the builtin storage is a bit short, 16 GB vs 32 GB of N97, all else is better than "No" "Kia"s phone

I was tawkin about the performance, Omnia despite being 600MHz, is slow, and N95-8GB being a 332 MHz is faster. And imagine how fast will be N97 with 434 MHz...

Its slow because it has a software for improving the UI, dont remember its name..
If it werent for the software, it would look the same as 5800 xpress or N97 from the inside

There is nothing new and unique in this phone. There is not a single unique feature in this phone to make it a stand out among the crowd (in term of feature and not in terms of brand value). It doesn't have the best touch screen around so need to boast about that. Just because its an Nseries phone doesn't contribute to its mere success. There are better phones in the market like HTC touch pro 2, htc touch HD and last but certainly not the least Iphone 3gS... Moreover the hefty price tag adds a nail to the coffin...

Its the same old 5MP phone with no improvements, Nokia are retarded, they dont make anything new, first the shitty old N95, then the same old shitty N96, now N97... Only the memory is Large and feature a Qwerty, rest is the same! Thats the reason I hate NOKIA!(pwned)

Come on guys, you just can't compare other OSes with a SymbianOS enabled phone for GOD's sake.

BTC, iPhone etc are no doubt good phones, but as compared to Symbian they are nothing.

N97 is a very unique phone, just look at the interface, its smooth, moreover its n-gage enabled, which is a greatest feature. Actually there aren't much 3rd party apps available yet which makes you guys feel there's NOTHING UNIQUE. I bet, you just need to wait and check it out.

My friend from Italy just got it as he had preordered, and he also has iPhone. And he said its simply awesome phone... so never judge a phone just by its specifications!!!

I know its symbian, but the thing is, it doesn't have a large number of 3rd party apps compatibilty as nokia has.

And windows OS for mobiles sux... I would prefer Symbian or MacOS over it.

Lol get Windows mobile and download a SPB theme.
It looks way cooler in WM6 then in Symbian or in any other OS.
BTW, SPB is available for download only for the WM OS.

WM6 has much much much more 3rd Party Aps then Symbian.

Wait for sometime and watch out for better reviews and then decide.
