Sony PlayStation 5 : Play Has No Limits

PS5 Release Date, PS5 Games, PS5 Power vs Xbox One X, PS5 Price Speculation - All the PS5 Info lets discuss

Here are all the rumors and speculation surrounding the PS5, including a potential PS5 release date, power, and launch games of Sony's inevitable PS5. Is the PS5 releasing in 2019?

What we Want From the PS5 Speculation aside, what would we ideally want from the PS5? Backwards compatibility for PS4 games would be brilliant, simply because you'd be able to carry over classics like the Shadow of the Colossus remake to the next console generation. We've seen how well Microsoft is handling backwards compatibility with its Xbox One consoles (including getting amazing results updating Xbox 360 games to run in 4K on Xbox One X), and something similar on PS5 would be great.

In terms of pure power, the PlayStation 5 has to significantly exceed the power of the Xbox One X. This means featuring more games running in 4K at 60FPS. If the PS5 can deliver about 10 TF of power we'd be happy, as this would allow devs to create games that look a generation ahead of what we've got now.

But what would the dream launch lineup be for the PS5? Death Stranding and The Last of Us: Part 2 are hugely anticipated blockbuster games, with the former especially looking to push the performance of whatever system it's on to the very limit. We've also mentioned Ghost of Tsushima and a sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn, and the latter would be the perfect way to kick off a new console cycle from Sony.

If BC is 100% guaranteed before release and they offer any kind of trade in program to trade in your PS4 (or Pro) towards a PS5. This will be the easiest purchase I would have made in my life.

What do the PS5's specs tell us about the future of PlayStation versus Xbox?

At least off the back of this news, Sony doesn’t seem to be trying to appeal to a new demographic of gamers. Its demographic looks likely to remain much the same as the current generation’s: console gamers, not “hardcore enough” for PCs, but still interested in heavier, more involved games than people who play casual games primarily on their phones.
At this point I have to wonder, does Wired even acknowledge Nintendo’s existence?

There's a Sony investors event happening right now, a lot of PS5 news is leaking out.

Expected PS4 to PS5 load comparison using Spider Man PS4 as a base.

PS5 games will be available on disc, download or streaming. Choice is up to the user.

"PS4 support will continue for the next 3-4 years"

which makes sense, they're not going to abandon a 100 million+ user base just like that.

Yes, hardware improvements that provide avenues for better gameplay experiences = next-gen. And I don't see 'next-gen' assets becoming a hurdle any time soon, as there's plenty of headroom with an ssd.

Sony is embracing BC head-on for PS5, which is fantastic.

Phil should be held responsible for this shitfest too, just like Sarah, but it's highly likely that these decisions are coming from Satya. And this isn't even the end of it. More closures are coming.

if we are moving towards more and more popular trash across platforms that make billions for companies, I'm happy with all the barriers and exclusivity because at least that brings some pressure to create good stuff.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
