MULTI [OT] Horizon Zero Dawn | More than 10 million copies sold lifetime

They've got the visuals down to a T, this is easily shaping up to be the best looking console/PC game of this generation so far. I hope the game play can match it. As shiny as KZ was for it's release time, the game play was absolutely horrid. So far the reviews have all been praise worthy, not 90+ metacritic yeah, but 88 is still very respectable.

I have high hopes.

Jesus talk about gross exaggeration lol. I'll keep comparison limited to the console HZD is on, and it has nothing on Uncharted 4 in the visuals department.

Uncharted 4 is probably unmatched in the character models/animations dept, but overall I'd say this game has outdone it in other visual areas. It has a decided IQ and resolution advantage among other things.

Having played them both, I'll lean more towards UC4 for the character models. I don't have any direct-feed Sully shots, but the Sully model is practically better than anything the Order did, not that it as a slouch. However, The Order usually tends to have the lighting dark just about at all times so you're not really seeing its characters in brightly lit areas.

And though they're highly stylized, Horizon has some pretty good character models as well.

There are some things that FFXV does better, but on the whole I'd agree that Horizon is the most visually appealing open world game, regardless of platform.

That said, Star Citizen's story campaign (Squadron 42) is looking mighty fine, and is set for release later this year.

I found a much better example. Aside from the robotic stare and expression, looks pretty great in this lighting

Horizon Zero Dawn |OT|

WOOOOOOWWWWW... Just finished an 8 hour run with Horizon and mind = blown. Absolutely beautiful to look at but even better at game play. The amount of content feels huge given how much I have played and how little of the map I have explored as yet.

Hahahahaha.. Combat is uber fun.. I know of lot reviewers have been praising the combat but its only once you play it for yourself that you get to know how awesome it really is. Surprisingly the RPG elements are far more deep than i initially expected them to be. Although not as intrinsic as Witcher 3 but still far far deeper and better than the other games that its being compared to (Far Cry, Mordor etc). Oh and did i mention that the game looks absolutely phenomenal especially with HDR !
