Those who have tried using the card on Google Play, how long did they take for the $1 (105rs?) to be refunded? Reading this thread it seems it takes upto a month to reverse authorization hold charges. I made a $45 purchase on Nintendo on 31 Jan which didn't go through. I was charged for it. Nintendo says they haven't charged me and the bank should have held an authorization charge which should have been refunded within 48 hours. MCB CS is hopeless. After four calls and 30 minutes on the phone I was told that I must visit a branch and file a dispute. They couldn't give me ANY details on the transaction except it was POS which even my statement shows.
I called Nintendo again and they will email MCB (I doubt they take email seriously) to release my funds. BTW, I MCB service is pretty bad.
I went into the branch after receiving my card for activation. They had no idea what to do. The manager eventually activated the card but the cashier was closed by then. A few days later I went again, waited in line only to be told that their system was down. Same problem with another branch a few days later. Third visit was better. Then to activate my card, I was told to wait 48 hours and the annual charges would be deducted automatically. No such thing. I called a week later and the CS rep did the needful. Half the time their system is down when you try to call.
The card itself works well. Good conversion rates. Nintendo must have refused the transaction because the billing address did not match. Hopefully, I will get my money back soon enough. I would still recommend the card for those that need it for online purchasing.
