Open to subjective analysis.

Where do you draw the line?

Do you have different sets of rules for girlfriends and wives?

Would you stop her from wearing half sleeves? Sleeveless tops? Or would stop her from wearing mini skirts?

And would that effort be changed if you get married to her.

The reason I ask this question is because of a certain conundrum I am faced with related to someone's life.

So that someone got a wife and a GF? :| it's up to that individual and his family background, social boundaries and own mindset which let him chose what kind of dress is OK and not OK, I can't really comment about wearing mini-skirts in Pakistan, however sleeveless and half sleeves are getting pretty common no?

Depends on one's morals, ethical and religious values. If she is willing to change or if he is willing to compromise, then yes. otherwise it if bothers you so much, NO!

Its not upto anyone to decide beyond a certain boundary, its her choice and hers alone. If it bothers you, you have to cope wit it just like any disagreement is coped with. If its a GF, its a different story, if its a wife well that's a separate problem.

Lol. Not entirely like a wife and Gf.

But thanks for the thought !

Because it's a public forum.

People can be open-minded although it might surprise you.

That's the conundrum that someone is in.

What right does have a man over his GF or Wife? Clothing right? No or Yes?

If the woman can't wear what his man wants then I guess they are not in the good relationship, I personally had and still have the single standard for the woman (doesn't matter if she is your GF because in the future she will going to be your wife) and for the other kind of relationship people don't bother much..I hope you get my point here!

He has no right, he has a privilege. Unless someone's wife or GF is flirty to begin with, respect her choices, I guess. If its bad and you know its bad then rest assured she will learn her lesson. Most people if you stop them from doing something THEY REALLY WANT TO DO, often get the label of "Bad person" or "the person who is to be avoided"...at the end of the day you have to see if its the person you want and stay with or you want them to bend them inline with your ideals and change (which almost never happens).

I understand that conundrum, I have been in a similar situation but luckily my girl understood that I don't like it and never did that again, which was lucky because I could force her but that mostly harms the relationship in the long run. But I know some headstrong girls who would not back down, not without a fight. My personal suggestion let them do it. When they will get too much attention, and given the reputation of our street crowd, I think she will learn very quickly. And if she doesn't well then I would question the choice.

Of course not. No wife of mine is going to dress up like a Abuses will lead to ban; unless she no longer wishes to be a wife of mine :finger:

Let's just put it this way it's the guy's wishes that hold more power in a marriage when both partners are muslim (obviously the woman has the right to say no to muslim hubby who proposes bayhoodgi:p). In a GF situation that depends on how much of a man you are to actually sway here towards your opinion, from scarf to cleavage or cleavage to scarf it's how you play em. If you can't play em well tough luck, not like it's your right to begin with but well if you can get her your way that'd be a bonus no?:)

I would second neox3d's take on the matter. One must not only honestly ask himself/herself whether he/she would have been able to cope with a certain situation by abiding with some exacting standards he/she is setting for the other person AND how the kind of expectations he/she has set for the other would affect the other partner. Perhaps, it will not be an issue; otherwise, it could lead to disaster. Everyone's different, afterall.

I would say it's the wife's/GF's choice as long as it doesn't attract undue attention which I'm sure they themselves will be uncomfortable with

The problem is when opinions are different for a different set of circumstances.

What would you say if the same guy who lets his gf wear anything ... wants her to suddenly be in a Hijab after marrying her or expresses such intentions after making her his wife?

Isn't that unfair for the girl, who has seen nothing but liberalness most of her life and is an independent headstrong girl?

Should such a clear dichotomy exist just because something has become legal according to certain norms of the society?

The guy should have made his intentions clear before marrying the girl
It is unfair to the girl plain and simple

I also felt the same.

But there is a certain element which is saying she is now his wife, it doesn't matter what the girl wants or has lived with....

The girl has to accept the husband's wish because that's how it is as she is his wife and he can control what he wants.

Which brings me us the same conundrum.

How much of a control should a husband have over the wife? Or how much of a control does he actually have? And is allowed to practise in such a case.

I argue, that he should shut the fuck up .. because it's his fault for introducing a scenario he clearly didn't tell before marrying her and stop talking about control.

What ever she wears it should fulfill the main purpose of wearing, that is "Covering the body"

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
