^I have to disagree. In every terms Revelations is bigger and better than AC2. Also, Hook Blade \m/
Well its just a difference of opinions....I liked ac 2 more :)

To be honest, i played AC 1 and hated it. Never even looked at AC II and seen my friends play brotherhood and revelations. While i did notice bits and pieces of improvement, i was so put off by the first game that it would take a massive overhaul to make me give it another shot. I still haven't seen anything worthy of attention from the series. This trial and error formula for games is crap.

COD does it the most, introduces minor tweaks and shit to every game. AC is doing the same thing, it's rereleasing AC1.X everytime. As far as i'm concerned the whole AC formula is weak, pseudo stealth based game in the first place.
I loved the level design, the art style, the technology and some of the ideas in Assassin's Creed. But some issues, most which you've complained about, did put me off from even finishing the first game.

AC2 improved AC in every imaginable way, except for visuals on the PC. It borrowed all the good stuff from AC, improved upon the script, the voice acting, the plot and added in one of the best musical scores of this generation. And I look at Brotherhood and Revelations as "Add Ons" to Assassin's Creed 2, which they actually are. I won't be surprised if the next game on the next gen platforoms is called Assassin's Creed 3.

If you haven't spoiled AC2 then I suggest you give it another shot.

AC 2 had a pretty neat story line too :)
they improved many things....the only thing i hate about AC's is that how does ezio survive after falling from a tall building into a stack of hay :p

I'm pretty sure this is going to be the last Assassin's Creed THIS generation. It would have been nice if Ubisoft went Naughty Dog's way and saved it for the next gen platforms, but can't complain about AC.

I just hope they don't bring in stupid stuff like Ezio's first person levels and Den Defense stuff. Assassin's Creed III needs to shake up the franchise to avoid getting stale.

everyone already has the image that they are just milking the franchise now....they will need to work really hard on the storyline especially :)

Can either of you explain what is wrong with a new game every year as long as its quality content WHICH AC2, Brotherhood and revelations (to a lesser extent) have been? I mean its alot more than COD manages with the same boring stuff. :S

^^Yeah, I mean Look at the Modern Warfare games. They have development cycles of 2 years each and it's the same shit every time with new killstreaks.

Same gameplay and a good storyline. Pretty much sums up both franchises.
But whereas a CoD game takes a mere 4 hours to finish, AC demands a couple of days of sitting through the "agonizingly same" gameplay.

Uuh no Brotherhood's missions were much different from the ones in AC2, the parachute added a whole of variety, destroying Leonardo's machines was very different. It was never same or agonizing. Christina's memories were different, the ancient seals in revelations were different. Same you say? Name one game with that variety of missions which is based on swords?

COD has a good storyline?

And you're wrong there, it took me a couple of hours to finish both AC2 Brotherhood and Revelations storyline. "Couple of days" is what it takes to achieve 100%, for me atleast. Still if people don't complain playing Skyrim for over a 100 hours (and its a GOTY) then I don't see how AC is boring?

Well shit, that's even less than a year to the last game .. unless they've had the main team working on this since 2009, then I can't imagine this will be any bigger or better than Revelations.

As cliche and boring as AC1 might have been, i was completely blown away by AC2. I used to be one of the guys who just played AC1 and hated the series purely on that basis, but, i decided to give AC2 a try and boy i did something right.

Not only AC2 is miles better than AC1. They also managed to fix the broken game play and made the combat bearable(It was further improved in Brotherhood but i don't see much change in Revelations).

I didn't like Revelations though purely on the gameplay basis. The Tower Defence mini game and the Assassins one(Don't remember what it was called) wasn't really fun. I got bored doing the Assassin missions for Den leader, so i gave them up mid way. Otherwise the story of Revelations is easily the best of the series and how they explain the story of Altair is simply amazing. The most fun i had was playing the Altair memories.

I absolutely hated the Desmond memories. What the frakkin hell were Ubisoft thinking. Who in the right mind will even think of such mini level. Really hated them and only tried to finish them for achievements but couldn't go any further than 3rd memory. The Desmond memories were the worst game play extension to ever grace AC series.

Who knows what they're doing. They had 5 of their major studios working on Brotherhood and 6 for revelations just so they could put it up on the shelves in 1 year.

^^yes they should wait for the fans to make a fuss for a new game...that way the game can be anticipated even more and their sales would go through the roof :)

did you try setting up Google Payments? For UBL you may have to get it enabled for internet transactions, Naya should work without it!

Did y'all see the new Assassin's Creed trailer? They finally made a AC set in Japan & then they put a negro as the male protagonist. Ubisoft is taking cues from Disney, and it isn't gonna end well for them, just like Disney. Go woke, go broke!

if we are moving towards more and more popular trash across platforms that make billions for companies, I'm happy with all the barriers and exclusivity because at least that brings some pressure to create good stuff.
