Clannad is not that great of a story if not watched with Clannad After Story. Its like Pizza which is not great without its toppings right? same is the case with clannad.

But seriously the emotional experience it caries is beyond what I have watched so far, its like EPIC! it really brought my new sentimental side (which most of the guys tend to hide). I felt like crying (first time I got this much involved in an anime).

If I could it would be even above the no. 1 value for me. Clannad + Clannad After Sotry FTW! forever and ever :p (get it?)

i m fairly new to animes (this is an understatement bcoz infact death note is the only anime i have watched yet) , the animated ILLUSIONIST movie is the one to tempt me towards anime , which is btw gr8
alchemist , code geass and clannad are on top of my list to watch

Never in one place
I haven't watched many Animes. Abandon them midway frequently. Code Geass tops the list, followed by Death Note. I can't believe how highly rated Clannad is. Seemed like any other soap opera to me; the supposedly 'touching' scenes annoyed me to hell and back and the story just meandered on. They could have done so much more with the other dimension but in the end decided to muck up a 'real-life' sort of anime by making the dimension magical. But that's just my opinion, things like these are arbitrary. *quietly walks out before flamewar erupts*

Those three are different genres. For me, they had exciting, epic and sad moments respectively. It all comes down to personal preference really.


Oh, my all time favorite anime is so hard to pick. For action, I would say Berserk. Truly epic. A badass main character with a giant sword who kills a hundred soldiers alone. For romance, bokura ga ita. Emotional and depressing.

the pure tragedy of it. the way of conveying the emotions. never done in any anime before. that's what makes it magical. story was good but not super imo but the direction and the soundtracks and the overall construction of the anime is what makes it soo fecking bueatiful <3 <3

sorry, i dont fall for adorable things .... lol. "half" jokes aside .. it was good but thats all it was not awesome not masterpiece ... it was too mushy mushy at times for me to bear it... personally i think sentimental people are cause of it being so overrated ...

but the tradegy that follows it makes it a master piece. the story is ordinary anyone could have made that story but the characters and the dialogues and the soundtracks. i have to say without the soundtracks they had clannad wouldn't be even half as good

Clannad haters, if you can't follow romance and slice of life then it's good that you left it.

You guys actually know that when Clannad came out it was barely recognized. It's actually the best underrated anime of its time. All the popularity came from Key/Kyo Animation fans, and the critical acclaim lifted it.

And the ending is based on the VN. It's not a cop out by the writers. There's a greater thought relating to it. At least check that out if you're bugged out by it. Google some discussion on the ending. <_<

    Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

    tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
