Young/Minor Savings Account info.

Okay so I searched the forum, found nothing. So I'm making a thread myself.
I want to open up a savings account for myself, and the only banks offering them(for 18yrs or less) are UBL with their Minor Savings Account and Bank Al Habib with their Young Savers Account.

To the questions now. I just wanted to know a few things, like monthly charges(i know Al habib has zakat exemption) but dunno abt the UBL Minor Savings Account, so if anyone has an account or know's what the charges are, please let me know. And the debit card issued by UBL is a VISA card and it says on it's website that 'The facility of online use of Debit Cards will be available once registration procedures have been duly completed.'

Whereas on Bank Al Habib's website, the following is stated : 'Young Savers Account will have Internet Banking facility and ATMlDebit Card available to your parent/guardian.'

Now I'm not sure what exactly they(UBL) meant by online use, either it's the internet banking facility and/or it's the use of the card for online transactions. Whereas I'm quite sure that the Debit/ATM Cards offered by Bank Al Habib are not for making online transactions.

Answers will be appreciated

Btw, if anybody here has a savings in either of the banks, please share your experience.

A little bit off topic but can anyone also confirm if UBL's debit card works on most internet websites? Can i use it on game.co.uk and amazon and playasia etc ?

Okay, heck with the online transactions thing. UBL is too much of khwari -_- I'll just open one in Bank Al Habib. and use my cousin's credit card for online purchases

hey i have a young saviings account in allied bank and so far it is great.Go to their website for more info.They give u monthly profit ont he basis of 5%per annum of your account .As far the other two banks are concerned i have no idea about the.mI advise you to open your account in allied bank

if at the end of the day its giving you more money then you have paid through installments as deposits into your account then sadly your entering into a haram transaction...so be very careful about entering into such a transaction!
