Disable power saving .. Google sync isnt an issue btw try going to settings > other accounts > Google and try manual syncing.

Got the chance today to compare my Redmi note 4 with Redmi Pro, the Redmi Pro was the top of the line 128/4gb/Helio x25 variant. The results were quite interesting, on paper, the redmi pro seems the clear winner in terms of performance with 2 ARM-A72 @ 2.5GHz cores, 4 ARM-A53 @ 2.0GHz cores and 4 ARM-A53 @ 1.55GHz cores. But my real life tests pointed towards the opposite, both were running the same software, not sure if it is the issue with the software or the mtk x25, the Redmi pro kept reloading apps from the background when opened again, multitasking was a bit shaky as well. The sd625 note 4 also had better thermals after 20-30 mins of heavy testing, another thing that I noticed was the battery life difference, both come with about 4100mAh battery but the redmi note 4 is powered by an octa-core 14nm SD625 and the Redmi pro is powered by a 20nm Deca Core Helio X25, the normal SOT that I am getting on the Redmi note 4 SD625 is 9-10 hours whereas my friend is getting about 5-5.5 hours SOT on the Redmi Pro. Another issue that he was facing was the lack of dev support over at XDA, close to no custom ROMs available for the device, the Redmi note 4, on the other hand, has excellent dev support with a plethora of custom ROMs available for the Snapdragon Note 4. The camera performance was slightly better on the Redmi pro, the device looked a bit more premium as well.

The mediatek processors have come a long way, but they are still lacking in terms of efficiency and thermal control, in the 10-17k they are acceptable, but above that one should opt for something with an SD625.

winchester khan I had Redmi pro X25 version and it destroyed the benchmarks with 100k plus antutu but it lacks interntional rom and chinuse miui was a big no, I used to get 8 hrs of sot with single sim so battery wasnt the issue, plus games used to run better on redmi pro then they do on sd652 in my Mi Max .. but my biggest concern was security as to get intl rom root/recovery and unlocked bootloader was required that means if you lost your phone anyone can boot into recovery to copy your files or use ADB pull command to extract files even finger print is useless in this case, so sold it bought Mi Max and have kept it stock with locked bootloader because at this point security is more important to me. and I can say miui/Mi phones are pretty secure as even if you hard reset they ask for mi cloud activation.

Yes, the security part here is good , redmi pro hasn't aged very well though, I have the base variant in house as well, it's running some beta version of miui. Btw I am thinking of getting a mi max for my mom as well because of the large battery, easy to use Ui and screen size, do you think it's still worth a buy?

I told you I bought it offline from a shop / physical store. You can buy it from any shop offline.

Oh, I thought you went to some official distributor and I say that because I saw a picture you posted and you got the phone in nice looking Xiaomi shopping bag.

Had bad experience with Daraz. Will not be using them again. I will hand the money over once I have checked everything is OK which I can only do in a physical store.

Yes I bought it from distributor but there is no difference as compared to any mobile shop. You will get same device with same price from everywhere.

Visit any mobile shop in your area and buy the phone from there.
