Xbox wont turn on...?? fix??

so i just tried to turn on my jtag xbox... but it wont turn on..
light on the power brick is orange.. not blinking...
was working fine this morning...

doesnt turn on with the eject button, or the power button or the controller...
what can i do to fix it...

i searched on youtube. most videos said that it has something to do with a bent connection on the usb ports.. but mine seems to be okay...
??
any suggestions people?

Yes there is a problem with the power brick wires. Try another brick.

Negative... I tried it in my friends house on his xbox's power brick... but nothing.. same issue. its like there is no power in the xbox....
so its not the powerbrick. its the console. i would like to think so that there is short circuit somewhere.. what are the possibilities... what could have gone wrong. i checked the usb ports thoroughly but every thing seems allright...

Was it that you were playing your game and suddenly electricity went off and it might have damaged something. This happened with me some years back on my ps2 maybe it's that kind of problem.

possibly the glitch chip wires problem... get the soldering of wires checked by some expert

I also got same problem. My usb pins were bent. Local moder told me its rrod. So i sent it to m0ses. He rghed my console. He also said that its rrod.

sorry for bumping the old thread, just updating on the situation. really angry at this point. i sent it to ModMaster form whom i got the console in the first place...
it really cost me a lot to get it repaired.. 4k.. and he didnt even tell me the exact problem... really feeling ripped off.. he reluctantly gave me a 1 week checking warranty... on the next day i got it from him i got the same exact problem again. xbox wouldnt turn on i searched on the internet. people said to disconnect the cables and leave it for 15 mins i did and it turned back on... then the next day it wouldnt turn on again... i tried the wire thing again... but it wouldnt work this time... the console is just dead. the light on the powersupply is orange..... after i had spend 4k on repairing an old console... yea 4k.... he said that u ran it on a generator or something.. it broke because of light fluctuation. i run nothing on the generator. especially not my 55' LED... since i got it back i used it on a stabilizer ... what can i do. because i am in islamabad these days... and cant go around with a piece of shit console around. what can i do myself??

i called that guy that time, he said send me the xbox...bro im in islamabad abhi... do u know where his shop is..i cant explain to you... in the bloody ichra market... inside a tight filthy street where no car could go.... really got pissed that out of all the places i got stuck with this guy... ab mein kahan jaoon us ke paas.

rrod is different problem... my xbox wont turn on.... when i press the power button, nothing.... i didnt last me 2 months.. i got the problem in january 2013..... bought it from him in october 2012.... the console was almost lying around for 2 months. was busy with collage stuff... it lasted me a month of gameplay.. he sold it at a really bad price too.. ripped me off. it was my first xbox. so i didnt know my and had the nerve to blame me. when i sent my friend to pick it up... he said ''us ne hi kuch kia ha'' i dont remember the exact words...the main guy ''waseem'' wasnt at the shop.... his brother was at the shop i guess.. he said that as far as i know it is a programming fault or something... meanwhile wassem had said to me on the phone tha an 'IC' needed to be replaced... when i asked him to tell me the exact problem he said sorry i cant.....

Call "that guy" again and try to extend warranty period and show him on skype or something that you have faced the problem within the warranty period and tell him that you cant reach him right now. If he agrees then get it fixed from him again when you get back and after getting fixed, sell it out as soon as you can. Tell him that you faced the problem within the warranty period.

''That Guy'' is Modmaster....
apparently he is a ''trusted'' premium seller or something on pg...

that guy is highly uncooperative... not getting ripped off the third time...
i will call him thought.. he will probably read this too... but i aint spending another penny... on that xbox.. do u know.. before i got it repaired i dismantled it myself..
what i saw surprised me, i have messages and pictures as proof if u want....
i paid 22k for a controller, a console, an A/V cable, a powersupply which turned out to be a powersupply converted from 110 volts to 220 volts....
he told me condition was 9/10..
when i opened the console earlier... the disk drive was switched.. and the console was already repaired...
the word ''Kharab'' (broken) was written on the dvd drive and some guys name too... but what surprised me was that the dvd drive worked... he probably switched the lens of a broken drive and fixed it and put it in my box. cuz he offers that lens changing service...
When i confronted him on the phone... he said ''bhai u paid for a used console''
''I said i paid for a 9/10 used console, not a ''repaired'' console'' which is probably dying after been repaired god knows how many times.

something similar happened to me but that time it was xboyhot. he installed a broken (tooti hui) dvd drive in my console but it was working. so i just ignored it.

He will have to repair it.. in warranty... because i called him and told him of the problem in the warranty time period...
honestly i am not comfortable in keeping this unreliable console...

If he fails to fix it I highly recommend to get it checked from Faizy if you can.

I had a similar problem with my xbox few months ago, but it was a different problem than yours. It was turning on with yellow lights and controller blinking but no display. Changed HDMI, tried SDTV, checked usb ports... everything looked fine but still no display. After a few days I opened the disc tray and blew in it and it started working again.

So maybe its just some dust or maybe it is hardware failure or something.

Though ive got to share my advice with you. And this msg is what i always convey to ppl interested in consoles. U see u bought this xbox for 22k and its been used, used quite terribly. why didnt u even think of importing one from the US? It costs a frikkin 199$ which is 20000rs and theyr NOT refurbished. Im quite stunned myself u bought this console for 22 :SS
u shudve checked olx perhaps, offering 360 consoles in the range of 16k - 20k
Never go for used stuff here bro. Unreliable shitty dealers conducting business in a truly unethical and unislamic manner its often a rarity finding that one trustworthy guy to get ur consoles fixed from.
Khair ab jo hogya hai woh hogya hai, now i would suggest u go and get this console fixed by tht man again and check it thoroughly before returning home. Because as other members have pointed out, this could be ANYthing, a short on one of the ICs is highly probable to be the fault. Keep on knocking at his door until its fixed and dont repeat the mistake of buying used electronics from ppl u dont know that well hope it helps and plz keep on sharing with us what happens to ur console
