bro he mentioned 40k his budget ,he cant get even n900 in dat range nd x10 tu dooor ki baat hai,i dun think so x10 is available in pak nd agar available bhi ho ga it will be above 60k nd HTC desire or NEXSUS ONE is another choice but da r also out of ur range ,i would suggest u go for n900 ,its a beast wid aloot of features nd 32gb memory although MAEMO is still not established nd succesfull as ANDRIOD ,if u can buy HTC DESIRE OR NEXUS ONE dese r da best fones,my cuzon own NEXUS ONE its purely a beauty wid blazing speed (1ghz procesor ) nd awesome touch screen!!!if still any queries aask me!!

Just one thing. Don't go for the W995.

I used to be a big fan of SE feature phones but even since I bought my bro a W705 for 21k, I've been voting against them. The feature set is crap. The menus are at times slow. It seems that the flash animations are a bit too much for the phone.

If its between the 995 and X6, go for the X6. I've been using 5530XM (similar to X6 in specs) for quite some time now and its a great phone.

yeah dude my sister has that and its a nice little phone. havent used the x6, how much of a difference overall (other than the obvious memory, cam, screen size etc.) is there bw the two?

dude 50k without warranty in local market and 53k with 1 year warranty with homeshopping.com.pk here in pk. X10 isnt all that expensive

emmmm if u find X10 in ur budget u shud buy dat beauty but if not go for n900 its alooot better den X6 because have same firmware lyk 5800.5530,5230 so it doesnt make sense for extra space u spend on dat fone ,if ur unaable to buy X10 den n900 is da besht choice!!even its also on my wishlist

Sorry for getting late to the party but bro go for x10 it will get 2.1(eclair) update soon or maybe 2.2(foryo) and if u cant get x10 then go for n900 bcz maemoo is best open plateform and n900 will get a new os known as meego(google it).

One thing, don't buy the X6, if your sister has a 5530, u will find the OS exactly the same, so no use wasting so much getting the same OS. I recommend X10 for its beauty and Android OS.

Okay guys things have changed. I'm not spending that amount of money yet, so I'm stuck between a brand new 5800 and my friend's used N97 for 20k. I asked him why he was selling it and he said the thing freezes a lot and the amount of lag makes it frustrating at times. My question: Is it possible to smoothen out the firmware by updating it somehow? And if this were to work, what would be the better deal, looking at ALL aspects?

Bro one friendly advice dont go for either of them bcz i have used both and if it works fine from day one then it gud but if it freezes then nothing makes it work bcz both of the sets always crashed randomly ,memory card gets corruption and periodic restarting, freezing etc.
I would not recommend u to get either of them get a used iphone 3g or 3gs maybe omnia hd or satio.
