I got the system about one and a half year ago. I played the console only on weekends for a maximum of 3-4 hours. The dvd drive has never given any problem and is also not extremely noisy. It is working fine after the x-clamp andhas not given any problem after that.By the way the system is modified and plays copied games.The console has no scratches or dents and same goes for the controller, so both are in excellent condition.
