Wrestling Discussion Thread: Royal Rumble Jan 29th 2022 Road to Wrestlemania

I don't really watch WWE, but I might check out Wrestlemania. I have a feeling Shawn Michaels will:
-Sweet Chin Music both HHH and Undertaker.
-HHH will pull of a tombstone on undertaker and go for the pin but Shawn Michaels will stop the pin at 2, frustrating HHH.
-HHH will be exchanging words with the HBK and will turn around only to find himself either be tombstoned by the undertaker or be trapped in the Hellsgate.

You know, according to many fans/critics/websites, this Wrestlemania has like one of the strongest cards on paper. This could become one of the best Wrestlemania... But I have my money on WWE to screw it.
The opening match Y2J vs CM Punk, Its like HBK vs Y2j at Wm19
There is The King of Indie vs Shaemus who has great work ethic. I am hoping for Daniel Bryan to win this cheaply using AJ and all and becoming the ultimate heel. (noting to the fact that Bryan works best as a heel)
And then we have Team Teddy vs Team Johnny. This has had a pretty good build up except Khali, this could also be a great match. I hope Ziggler outshines and goes on for the push he deserves.
Randy Orton vs Kane. We all know what Orton can deliver, especially with a worker like Kane. (keeping in mind that Orton - Punk was the best match at WM27)
Cody Rhodes vs Big Show, this is shaping up to be a pretty decent Rivarly. Don't fuck it up WWE -.-
And then we have the end of an era match. I was like meh, Fuck Haitch, no matter what WWE says He is nowhere close to Undertaker, HBK etc. But the inclusion of HBK into the match certainly had some eyebrows raised. And that smirk by HBK in last week's promo certainly got me interested in this match.
And then there is the "Once in a life time", "Greatest Match in the Histoty" or "passing of the torch". I don't really care about this match, Cena should lose. Considering Hogan(80s) and Stonecold (90s) put Rock over. I just REALLY hope that they both tell a good story and not bore the fuck out of everyone by big move after big move.
Throw in a Epico and Primo match + Divas match.
And WM 27 was like a stepping stone for WM28.
In WM27 Shaemus vs Bryan was a dark match, and now this time it is for the Championship. The mainevent was Miz vs Cena but it was mainly focused on Rock and Cena and Miz got overshadowed. And the Streak match, Undertaker took the worst beating of his life only to return after 10 months demanding retribution. The smarks of the future would certainly LOL at WM27.

WM 25 Uneven. Most bad some good.
WM 26 Damn good.
WM 27 Freakin' sucked!

CM Punk has become their new "John Cena" so I don't see him losing at "WRESTLEMANIA". Unless of course, there's outside interference. Not just that... Jericho can't win, because, he has to leave for that Fozzy thing... so yeah, there can't be an MIA champion.
Cena Vs. Rock - No way in hell Cena will win over "THE ROCK" and that too in his hometown unless he turns heel and do illegal moves. Expect riots if he wins clean.
Taker Vs. HHH - There's no prediction needed here. Undertaker will win obviously but it'll definitely be because of Shawn.
Sheamus Vs. Daniel Bryan - O Sheamus! How I loathe ye fella! Again, an obvious winner, Sheamus. I don't know how I am gonna stand him as a champion every week. Well, all good things must come to an end. It's a surprise they let Bryan be the champ for so long. I am gonna miss him.

I can't predict this one but I sure as hell hope Teddy doesn't win. I can't stand that guy on smackdown let alone on both shows every week. On the other hand, I love John Laurinaitis.

Unless there is a rematch of some sorts planned, I don't expect that to happen. Cena is WWE's top face. They'd never make him look bad against someone who isn't a regular on the card. I'm expecting a "passing-down-the-torch" kind of situation, similar to how it was in the Rock/Hogan match at WM X8.

Update on Taker’s future
Sources are still under the impression that The Undertaker won’t be retiring this year and that he will be back for another match at WrestleMania 29 in New Jersey.
WWE has already been working on ideas for next year’s top matches.

Lol if Sheamus loses RR as a PPV and the winners will pretty much get irrelevant(if it already wasn't). Only 55per winners have won. So what does that make if sheamus loses ?
