I am residing in DHA Phase 2 S block and i used to have worldcall cable internet few years back but left because of poor support for last 2 months(My internet would be down for most of the week). This was before the management change of worldcall. I was wondering if someone near S Block Phase 2 DHA or Phase 2 or in DHA Lahore can answer me the following questions about Worldcall cable internet(Please mention your area with response):

  • How is their 4Mbps connection? What is average download speed you get? What is average upload speed?
  • Do they have any fair policy for their 4Mbps connection? If yes, what is the limit?
  • Does the cable internet goes down often in your area?
  • How is their support? How long does it take them to fix a problem?
  • Does your internet goes down when there are load shedding in nearby areas?
  • Does the internet still works after load shedding in your area?
  • Please provide any other information about their service in DHA Lahore if you can or any advice dealing with worldcall.
I am interested in these connections as i want to apply for a 4Mbps Worldcall connection. So any help regarding this would be very helpful.

NOTE: Please don't recommend PTCL as i have already have PTCL DSL at my house for more than a year. I am right now paying for 4Mbps connection for ptcl but i am currently connected to ptcl 2Mbps port as i asked them 2-3 times to upgrade my port from 2M to 4M but all times the same problem occurs that my internet does not even connect when they connect to 4M and as i have copper cable they say that the problem is in our line and i have to switch back to 2M to internet to work. The only solution they propose is to install fiber optic line but first it will be expensive and secondly i don't think it will still resolve the speed issue as they limit download speed in my area. The service for PTCL is pathetic in my area as i get 1M speed on my 2M connection currently and been complaining for many months but they keep making excuses and don't fix the problem.

i used worldcall 4 MB for one month in the last june in DHA phase 4 ..
- download speeds were pretty impressive .. used to get around 500 kb/s on torrents .. dont remember the upload ..
- no fair usage policy .. unlimited means unlimited ..
- the support is ok like other companies ... usual 24 hr time period ..
- the internet goes down during loadshedding .. they have back up generators but auto gensets take around 5-10 seconds to start .. so the modem desyncs and if u r gaming thats enough to disconnect you ... during the later half of june they had a problem with the genset of my area .. so whenever the light used to go they had to transport a generator from some other area .. and it usually took 20-40 mins before the internet was back up during loadsedding .. ( hope they have got that replaced by now) ..
- i had a lot of lag issues with worldcall .. it was simply impossible to play on xbox live ..
- youtube streaming was poor as well ... the only good thing was torrent download speeds ( usually around 500) ..

I would recommend Wateen cable broadband if thats available in ur area ...

I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.

It is indeed the worst generation by far.

Both PS and Xbox have been a flop this gen as they can barely maintain 30 fps in a lot of AAA games th.

  • L LegacyGamerGuy:
As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

Still, I wonder why the PC Gamer rated it worse than Gollum. 🤔

Gradually transitioning from console gaming to PC as the games are not worth it. 6 hours of Hellblade 2 is just not worth the $50 price tag.
Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.

Online session is enabled for UBL. I have an active subscription with my NayaPay card (it is already added to Google Payment Methods).

did you try setting up Google Payments? For UBL you may have to get it enabled for internet transactions, Naya should work without it!
