Wireless Router for PTCL evo

as the title states i want to know that from where can i get The wireless routers that are coming these days which have both an ethernet input as well as a usb input...basically that can route both forms of internet..

1.) a solid wired network
2.) a Usb ptcl evo network

here is one example of wireless router, but what you really need to understand that you ll have to select a particular wireless router which support your brand of USB EVDO.

and ps3linux thanks..so that means i shud get info from ptcl as to which brands and models its compatible with...though i doubt they wud know any thing

is there an ethernet to usb ? hmmm..but that wont work i think cause software is also involved in all the authentication stuff

I have got the 3g CDMA Router , but the problem is that it needs some basic information while configuring the router setup like
pincode
APN
Username
Password
i have contacted PTCL EVO Technical team for the details , they dont have the APN and Pin code needed to acess the server. Anyone who can please give me the data?? Here are some pix of router

user name and password are something like
[email protected]
ptcl

these are not exact but they are the same as vphone dialup setting even dialing number is the same.

and as far as pin code goes there isnt any coz there is no sim card inside the device, though you could try your luck with 0000 or 1234 or just leav it blank.

APN is usually issued by the service provider, you need to get in touch with some of the technical staff or email to their broadband support about it, normally , broadband support is very co-operative (they will let you know in about 3 days)

EVO APN Issue resolved with TPLINK TL-3420

Dear All,

I have resolved the PTCL EVO sharing by using a TPlink TL-MR3420.

Here are the steps:

Plug in the evo dongle in the tplink router (Mine is ATE-AC-2627)
Goto 3G settings in the router and apply the following settings:
Dial Number : #777 (not 777#)
APN : (blank)
Username : [email protected]
Password : ptcl

This is working well for me and is seamless.

Hi Sam,

your info is so relevant, but can you tell me from where did you bought TPlink TL-MR3420, i have tried to find this router but there is another model MR3220 with is quiet not full n router it has one antenna, please send me detail you can mail me on [email protected], also tell me when you turn off your router and after turn it one its connects internet through evo automatically or there is some other ways, i have read on some forums that connecting again is an art, but no one has mentioned how to do it, or i have to setup again after every restart.
