Hello,
I have DELL INSPIRON N5110 laptop. I have installed window7 ultimate edition. Now after installing drivers and softwares, I made drive C backup. Windows backup is made on a different partition and this partition is only reserved for this backup. When I run this backup on advance recovery option of windows after clicking on "use a system image you created earlier to recover your computer". System restarts and successfully runs this backup image but after few seconds the progress bar does not increase. I have also got HP PRO BOOK 4530S laptop and a corei5 desktop pc. I never encountered such problem on these system but dell is giving me hard time. Guide me how to solve this issue. why backup is not progressing after successfully starting the operation?

Either your backup file has gotten corrupt or most probably its not compatible with your Dell laptop. Your first mistake was to create a backup file on the internal HDD. It should always be some external source, dvd or an external HDD.

^ What Ali said.

If you have made the backup on another system and are now looking to install it on your Dell Laptop, it wont install. Probably because of different hardware (Display & Audio chips/drivers etc)

My dear bro Ali Man, I tried all the possible ways. I also made backup on external drive. lets assume backup is corrupt but how many times? i made backups in double digit. I also used third party softwares to make up and even when i run those, i ecounter same problem? what should i do?

No the backup i am trying to install, is made by dell laptop. So, it has no driver issue. I also install the window and first thing i did. i made backup and try to run it but no success. i tried everything.

Well I guess that the only thing left to do is to install all the drivers and software's from scratch. I anyways think that its more reliable that way. Drivers get updated every now and then and the same is also with the software. Of course its a little more work but worth it.
