  2. In Windows 7 (genuine), connect the USB, open it and run setup.exe

  4. Setup will upgrade your genuine windows to 10.
  5. Make sure you are connected to internet and check activation status (it should be activated).

Since you were connected to internet, your HWID will be saved by Microsoft so now you can clean install Windows 10 anytime you want using the USB you created in step 1.

It will not ask for any key during upgrade. It asks for key during clean install, that too can be skipped.

You can use the same USB to upgrade and clean install.

Yes, to remain genuine, first run setup.exe from windows 7.

PROBLEM / QUERY Arises

i RUN Setup - BLUE small window appears - asking to get latest updates - i CLICK NOT RIGHT NOW

NOW ... what do you suggest / advice in this situation ???

This means your Windows is not activated. Make sure your current Windows is activated.

NOTHING HAPPENING for mee HERE

the current WINDOWS 7 i am running / using is 6.1 BUILD 7600 - NOT the SP1 version - original MSDN file which was way back it was released for the FIRST TIME

somewhere i have READ i think it was on TORRENT COMMENTS that in-order to UPGRADE to WINDOWS 10 - user MUST have LATEST SERVICE PACK UPDATED installed on BASE WINDOWS - whether its WINDOWS 7 SP1 / WINDOWS 8.1 with the latest SERVICE PACKS

what i did right now i TURNED ON some might be useful WINDOWS services - CHECKED BUT DID NOT WORK

went to BIOS BOOT ABLE option CLICK UPGRADE - it gave me a MESSAGE go to WINDOWS and then start SETUP

And for Windows 7, SP1 is must to upgrade to 10.

& how about if i INSTALL Service Pack 1 for WINDOWS 7 Home then do you see any chances for UPGRADE PROCESS of WINDOWS 10 ???

it wont ask for the ACTIVATION KEY then ???

You can try. Installing SP1 won't cost anything.

Guys i managed to reserve one copy of windows 10 for my pc(despite not having Genuine Win 8.1 Pro), As i was offered to me by Microsoft pop-up, But i can't see any download progress or where it is being download, or when it will be downloaded???

Just download the ISO as mentioned in OP, create a Flash drive, connect and run setup.exe. Rest of the process is similar to reserving Windows 10.

Acha i did INSTALL WINDOWS 7 Service Pack ONE - first time in the HISTORY of my WINDOWS usage

then after doing that i did some research that what could possibility be the PROBLEM or i might be going wrong somewhere

so managed to get a LINK for this Special Update Pack which is HIGHLY necessary to even RESERVE WINDOWS 10

- Windows 7: A way to download KB3035583 - i INSTALLED it ONLINE this was a small one

again did a RESTART - CHECKED all the SERVICE PACK details @ Program & Features Installed Updates - all DONE successfully with the special one KB3035583

NOW tried WINDOWS 10 Setup from FLASH DRIVE - And YET Again Same PRODUCT KEY Window appears @ 2nd Setup

Just for the SAKE of detail INFORMATION i have got this file - en_windows_10_n_multiple_editions_x64_dvd_6846434.iso-

Verified Torrent & mee Running WINDOWS 7 Home Basic Service Pack One

Why N? I am not sure if Windows 7 Home Basic to Windows 10 N is a valid upgrade path.

BTW N means that this version of Windows does not contain any media player and codecs etc.

ok now today i made this big thing HAPPEN

as i have been STRUGGLING with Windows Multiple Edition N version of Verified ISO - i tried many times that it could PICK my WIndows 7 Home Activated version but it DID NOT

i am very much thankful to 07ee17 guided me THE BEST - i downloaded WINDOWS HOME 10 64Bit normal version VERIFIED Torrent

then again FLASH DRIVE BURNED and Tried to INSTALL UPGRADE within WINDOWS INTERFACE

this time it DID NOT ask for the PRODUCT KEY and gave me an OPTION WHAT TO KEEP...

i UPGRADED Successfully and it asked for connection the WIFI & Then WINDOWS 10 HOME started

it INSTALLED AUTOMATIC UPDATES - picked all of my DRIVERS - LENOVO G50-80 CORE i5 5th Generation CPU

- - - Updated - - -

Now coming to the PROBLEM POINT - after doing AUTOMATIC UPDATES it RESTARTED & back on WINDOWS 10

this time the SEARCH THE WEB AND WINDOWS Option did not work - i got really TENSED - WINDOWS was already ACTIVATED AUTO i checked it

after some time i AGAIN inserted FLASH DRIVE AND AGAIN DID the Same whole UPGRADE PROCESS Over again

No product key was asked - but this time when WINDOWS Loads for the FIRST TIME asking to CONNECT WIFI I SKIPPED

and loaded WINDOWS NORMALLY - now the main PROBLEM is its NOT ACTIVATING WINDOWS ONLINE -

Error code: 0xC004C003 - THE ACTIVATION SERVER DETERMINES THAT KEY HAS BEEN BLOCKED

I am not sure why this happened. If Windows 10 was activated once it should automatically activate itself even after a clean install.

If you have activated your Windows 10 once successfully then you can try performing a clean install. Format HDD and reinstall from scratch.

For those who dont have a license key dont download msd imgs just go to kat.cr torrent suite search for Windows 10 enterprise vl n find best torrent n download it. Also download kmspico to activate it n enjoy

I update windows 8.1 Genuine to windows 10.
Now question is i don,t make any ISO i only update my window so now is there anyway to make a backup image of my windows?

Why do you need a backup image of Windows? If your machine is activated, then even after clean install of Windows 10 it will automatically activate itself.
