Most importantly school are becoming source of spoilege. Many institutes Inspired from western culture are constantly making our new generation beleive that our own culture is "old fashioned"

Gaining good things from the west is not bad, but our people mostly end up in following bad habits from the west!

West excels at taking just the right stuff from our culture or books and Holy Book and implementing them and mixing them with their own culture whilst keeping their own culture intact.

We here, however, get sold completely when we try the same thing, leaving our own culture behind...

Just remembered something. Instead of blaming the internet, blame it on the place where you put your computer. A lot of kids have computers in their own rooms and God knows what they do. Here in my home, the PC has always been in the living room, so you can't do anything bad (not that I ever had interest in that trash). My brothers and sisters kept on telling each other "This is wrong, don't do that" and we grew up clean.

Computers in your own room is one of the sources. If it's in the living room, others can easily say "Don't do this". Minor source, but STILL a source.

Well, I had a PC in my room since when I was in 4th grade and I am not spoiled at all! thanks to my parents teachings I can choose and differentiate between the right and wrong! it doesn't matter whether you have the PC in a private room or in a living room, it depends how you made your kids follow your trust and commands. I believe on "khelao sunay ka niwala magar daiko sher ki nazar say".

Parents! I blame the parents! I have the nieces & nephews and none of them are spoiled because my brother and sisters keep them on a leash and same happened with me as well, my parents give me freedom when it's required and hell of a danda too when it's needed! these days parents don't ask their children what they do on the internet, where they spent their pocket money and in what kind of friends/company they sit in. You can see 9th graders driving cars without a license, 10th graders dating girls and smoking cigs etc.

Children are like the pots of clay, it's up to the parents and their families how they mould them!
My parents too gave me freedom when it was needed and danda too when it was needed. Although, I still feel I could have been better but my parents are quite happy from me.

Bad parenting, lack of boundaries, free access to internet, mobile phones, mature/adult content from an early age. And these things are just the tip of the iceberg. Parents are just churning out kids here like new soda bottles, they know little about behaviour regulation. They don't set boundaries, buy them laptops, gaming devices, and provide them net connections from a very early age.

The end result? The kid gets his hands on adult content, filled to the brim with social taboos, dark fantasies, and the usual garbage. The kids start picking up things from these entertainment shows, hard-core porn that is not meant for their age at all. I remember a few kids actually suggesting that 'she was alone with him, why didn't he/they rape her'? Or how cool a scene of human shambles.

Now before all of you jump the gun and scream murder, there is no way in hell a child whose cognition is fully forming around the age of 14 won't soak all this crap in his head, and in turn won't be able to differentiate between real life and TV or porn. Then there is the case of disrespect and foul language, frequently exhibited in Rnb/hip hop songs, and several movies. Again, parents are at fault. If they actually know how to set boundaries, be strict with their kids, not buy them expensive gadgets without any reason at all, then none of this would even happen.

These kids will in turn become extremely desensitized to the idea of disrespect, foul language, derogatory behaviour, violence, rape, and genocide in general, which is in fact, happening. Enviornment changes a grown man, I can't see how these things can't or won't affect kids. Pakistani government needs to enforce 1 to 0 child policy. Our population is crossed the 'out of hand mark' god knows when, and now, we have nothing but future Tom, Dick, and harry's in every household.

If the government perhaps introduces strict parental laws - like in UK - and parents themselves get their acts together, half of our nation's problems will be solved. As one day these kids will grow up, and they'll be nothing but trouble for everyone.

the reason behind kids being spoiled is bad parenting !!

I think Internet,TV ,Mobile can not spoil a teenager !!

Parents should ,from very young age, pay attention to their kids but most of parents deffer their "teachings" to later saying (abhi bacha abhi se kia smjhana) even sometimes when a child does something bad or says bad stuff people laugh and then he keeps repeating ..

I think as soon as a kid starts speaking or even understanding language ,Parents should start their programming ,giving small examples, moralistic stories ..

and free access to Internet,TV and mobile should not be given till age of 14 atleast

agar bachy ko achy bury ki tameez hogi + apny parents se her cheez share krny ki adaat hoi he will never be spoiled by internet or bad gathering .

I had a typical spoiled gathering at school and streets but I wasn't spoiled ,I had PTV till I was 13 even after that all Indian stuff was locked only one hollywood channel ,all sports stuff and news .. and I'm really grateful to my parents about that

Bottomline none of the causes in poll is true .. nothing can spoil a kid if he knows good and bad and thinks of their parents as their mentors

There is a call centre near to my office. Before ramadan, i usually saw young teenagers boy and girls (around 17-21) smoking while openly sitting on the stairs as they are showing off something good, the cloths they wear, the way they comb their hairs (well not comb after all) the way they talk. I know its non of my business whatever they are doing but man that sucks.

Hm, good point. From age 8-13, I watched cartoons on TV for like 6-7 hours a day and my little brother (7 years old) doesn't even care about cartoons. I constantly tell him to stop the computer, Formula 1, and go watch some cartoons to build your imagination. But of course, he doesn't. So yeah, TV isn't the culprit at all.

And talking about memes and kids? I don't think so 9gag/4chan would do anything to spoil kids. I don't think a whole lot of kids are 9gaggers.
(sm1) . well all i can say is when ever ur abt to do something that isn't right, just think about ur parents for a second and then make ur decision. what they would say abt it or how sad they'd get if they know abt whatever it is that ur doing.
and since my parents paid lots of attention on my tarbyat (like getting my hand burned with chimta and beatings with hangers), i always ask my parents permission before doing anything and know how to deal with and talk to different sorts of ppl.

Completely agree with all of you, and as Inferno said "khelao sunay ka niwala magar daiko sher ki nazar say" this rule should be applied on every child\kid\teen but to bad many parents at present don't have much time for their kids, and when they realize their kids don't listen to them so, one should start trainin their kids at the early age.
like teaching smoking\abusing etc is bad, teaching them about our religion, teaching them how to talk with others and how to balance their time in studies, religion,tv,pc, and other stuff ETC.

Hmm.I really don't agree with this :l.. most people would consider me spoiled but I don't consider myself spoiled. It depends on your definition of spoiled? Ehm Islamic teachings? Not everyone follows islamic teachings.Islam has a negative effect on people and makes them narrow-minded in my own opinion,no offense to anyone else.
Kids are starting to think for themselves and becoming better individuals if you ask me.It's very important to have your very own opinions and attitude in a way.I really don't understand the point of this thread.Do you mind giving me an example of being spoiled? Have you ever tried to look at things from their point of views?.Maybe it's because you don't treat them with any respect at all, they don't do the same to you.Have you ever thought of that?

Note:I get so frustrated after reading all these posts. This is what I mean by narrow minded.Gah.."Program a child?" You're fucking kidding me.Censors will do no good, and programming won't do any good either.People should live according to their live experiences, and their parents should just offer advice and let their kids decide on THEIR life.
"good and bad?" Please. There is no definition of "bad".It's just our society which makes us think things are bad and good.GAHH i'm too rage-y @_@ at the moment after reading all this stuff.

today's generation isn't spoiled. Its just going through a Phase.

@the mullahs.
what's wrong with you people.

@OP.

get a life.
Good point, I had access to everything I wanted, didnt get spoiled. Frankly, anyone who thinks you need to censor chidren is an idiot. Thats the problem with our older generation, we're humans not a bunch of animals who's behaviour you can dictate the way you want to, just having a good relation with your children and listening to them instead of being an insufferable know it all would help alot. Besides each child is different just because some children sshah met who thought they should rape someone doesnt mean I should have my tv channels censcored :S

Ohh and I'd just like to say, the older generation that is meant to be a example for US is more spoilt than we are  Most people are just a bunch of lying hypocrites with no sense of honor, morality or justice. When you're screwed up internally and don't have the capability to reflect on someone else's views about life, you're not going to do a very good job at improving anyone's lives.

This. You are more likely to get your point across to ANYONE if you stop being an ass and listen to their ideas aswell, you can't go making everyone you have control over exactly like you just because you are right in your own little bubble.
