I have a rig almost identical to yours. I even own an R9 270x. And in terms of raw power, it is far better than the 750 Ti. But I will advise you to save up and purchase an NVIDIA product like the GTX960 because they're dominating PC game development right now. Their GameWorks library is being used in many AAA titles and AMD cards run those titles like shit, simply 'cos NVIDIA has designed the library in a way to cripple performance on AMD hardware.

Its like saying "I can't dance like you dance but you are dancing like that to make me look bad".
Not really because NVIDIA won't even let AMD's engineers access the library's source code so they can optimize their drivers for it. Don't get me wrong, I know NVIDIA has made some major innovations with their Maxwell architecture but this is some underhanded shit they're pulling :D

The PC industry is already taking a beating from Microsoft and Sony, so its sad when two hardware giants that could take the industry forward are trying to undermine each other instead :p

That is exactly what I am saying. AMD can't do something that Nvidia can do so Nvidia isn't supposed to do it because AMD can't do it????

You must be living in a different world buddy. Consoles are what holding pc gaming back because they can't catch up themselves. All these downgradations (witcher 3, fallout 4, 30 FPS locks) are because of consoles.

No you aren't. I suggest you do some reading on NVIDIA's Gameworks library and the problems it has created. Also, the downgrades and the long delays because of devs preferring consoles is why the PC *industry* is taking a beating. Even a 15 year old would know that PCs are far superior to consoles in terms of hardware and processing power.

1) The graphical downgrades
2) Batman Arkham Knight
3) The long delays (you know that Rise of the Tomb Raider will be initially an xbox exclusive right?)

I'm a PC fan to the core but I think we'll be kidding ourselves if we think that PC gaming is still at the pinnacle it used to be.

Soo... a few titles are ruining PC gaming?
I dont see it going downhill just because of that anywhere.

GTA V (insane delay), TW3 (graphics downgrade), Batman Arkham Knight (I'm not even gonna...), watch_dogs (graphics downgrade)... these are AAA titles, and they actually count. In all these titles, game developers showed a clear preference towards consoles. PC gaming is not going downhill, but it has been compromised. Tell me one big company that's releasing a PC exclusive title these days. Microsoft and Sony lace devs' pockets with cash (plus the consoles have a bigger user base) which is why games are made for consoles and then ported to the PC. That's what I meant when I said Microsoft and Sony are hitting the PC gaming industry.
Remember the good old days of Half Life 2 and Doom 3? That was when PC gaming was on top. Now, PC gamers are marginalized in favor of console gamers, if you can't see that, then I suppose you also need to smell some coffee ;)

I will take this one.

@sniper71377

Dude you really need to understand what is happening here. Developers are downgrading games not because they don't care about the PC. They downgrade because they want to cater to a bigger market. They know PC games will still be played at less than ideal graphics. No one in their right mind would make a game that is playable only on PC due to its graphics intensity. Consoles are holding back PC performance but they are no threat to PC gaming whatsoever. Steam is a living proof of it. About PC exclusives Every MOBA ever, RTS and other games that are just not suitable for consoles. Just ask somebody if anyone remembers the PS3 version of skyrim. About the Arkham Knight fiasco. It was fault of the company that tried to force a port in 2 weeks. It would get fixed and they will learn their lesson. About GTA V. The port came after such a long time because they didn't want PC to hog console share not the other way around. They added exclusive features to the PC version and they knew PC version would still be a good seller after such a long time. As you mentioned Tomb Raider would be Xbox exclusive initially. Again they are doing it to milk the consoles before PC version takes over. These exclusives are what are keeping these consoles afloat. If there are no exclusives PC gaming would drive consoles to the ground. Consoles are in no way threat to PC gaming but PC gaming is to consoles.

Are you guys serious? I'm saying the same thing you are. The end result is the same isn't it? PC gaming has been sidelined regardless of how you interpret it. That's all I'm trying to say. For all the monstrous capability PCs have, they aren't allowed to use it - because, in short, consoles have gained popularity.

As far as manners are concerned, I wasn't the one who first suggested 'waking up' :)

I dont think PC has been sidelined, its just as important as consoles for profit. ;)

Which is exactly why one of the highest grossing games ever - GTA V - was released first on consoles and then on PC ;)
Consoles can't kill PC profit. PC release CAN kill console profit. You know what is going on there but you insist on seeing the glass as half empty. Even when it is 3 quarters full.

I know what you're saying - but that would be the best case scenario, and I don't see it happening unless the PC user base grows drastically (and the piracy stops :D).
At the start of this year I had to decide between a PS4 and a PC, and I chose the PC - even though it cost me a lot more. But those repeated delays in GTA V were embarrassing, and, frankly, stuff like AC Unity and Arkham Knight has really killed my PC vibe.
But, hey, I love PC for the mods... and how it lets me try out stuff before I actually buy it ;)

I presume that situation will be the same again as it was in the past, with the passage of time (maybe 4-5 years), console hardware will outdate, and when the gap between console vs pc graphics increase, pc gaming will start to attract consumers again. And god knows what kind of technologies will be invented by gpu manufacturers afterwards which current console hardware will never have. As a result devs will will slightly push the limits for sony and microsoft by utilizing pc hardware which will be followed by release of next gen consoles and so it will continue until pc is big market, by big i mean atleat as big as 70-80 % of console market. JUST A PRESUMPTION. However, this discussion was really informative. thank you brothers and Eid Mubarak.
