XBOX Whats the best way to put ur 360?

Hey guys..well i was jus wonderin that i've had ma 360 placed horizontally since the day i got it cz i thought that was the better of the 2..wat do u guys think??

i would recommend u to place it vertical 1 inch above the table surface not on carpet e.g put two dvds on the both sides so that air is well ventilated inside console and put a usb fan on its back easily avaiable from any shop!!!!!!!!! dat worked for me like a charm for 1 and half year after dat it got rroded then xclamped month back still working fine.

i would also recommend to place it vertically as i always do i just got rrod few months back and i got it repaired and also installed a extra cooling fan inside it and now its running like a breeze....

i put it horizontal, dont think it matters much but i think vertical is better suited for more ventilation..

Ok..one ore thing..a couple o weeks back i read sumwhere that placing it vertically sumtimes even scratches the discs..i mean i know it sounds a bit sto0opid but wat do u guys think?..thnx..

Both sides have equal number of ventilation holes. But I agree mossemos, its best to put it on a hard surface raised a few inches by a few dvds and make sure there is open space on all five sides.

yup disk scratching could be a potential problem. also if youve coin tricked your 360, dont pllay it vertical.

Whichever way you put it, make sure there is something under it, so it's not directly on the floor or the table. you can use a box if you wish as long as it's not directly on top of whatever you've got it on. A Cushtop it acts as a stand and also the material that it's made of, absorbes the heat, so it's really good.

the problem was in launched consoles dont worry abt disk scratches worry abt rrod add usb external(not nyko) fan additional internal fan near heatsinks convert 360 fans to 12volts and maybe ur 360 survive 2 years

and i bought it from THIALAND when i was there on vacation

i have a total of 6 fans cooling my 360
hope it lasts longer than 1 yr
