your PC is fine but your GPU 9400gt is holding and clutching it by the neck.
respect your phenom 2, 5gb ddr3 and win 8.1 and install a decent graphics card on which you can play games decently if u want to.

if u are talking about 5K.
you can find a GTS250 if u search for it.
best bang for 5K

although i would strongly advice you to save more and increase your budget to 7-7.5 and find a 5770. a DX11 GPU is mandatory for you if u want your PC to at least run newer games.
