lol dude it's your money, we can't really help you since we don't know what your interests are, all we can do is give you new ideas (like the Russian, motorcycle, AK-47 ). If you value sound effects and can deal with complaining neighbors all then by all means go for a kick-ass sound system.

Seconded. Although bear in mind the Nexus One is expensive, 51-68k depending on where you look. It's also 10k more than the Desire, which is more worth the money.
Galaxy S is more powerful but is a cheap plastic mess and runs TouchWiz.
Here are my suggestions:

> HTC Legend (awesome phone, runs Android, gets the girls )
> Some PC upgrades if you're into that sort of thing
> A Logitech G15 or G19 (just for the hell of it )
> An Alternate Gear Touch Slate
> Sony Ericsson Vivaz / Vivaz Pro (nauycee little phones with HD video)
> A UMID mbook M1

Not really, it does have the same codename and are internally the same phone, but there are crucial differences:

Desire has an old fashioned plastic+aluminum construction, Nexus One has an aluminium unibody+teflon build.
Desire has 576MB of RAM to run HTC Sense, the Nexus One doesn't need it and thus has 512MB.
Desire has an optical trackpad, Nexus One has a multicolour trackball. In addition, Desire has physical buttons while Nexus One has capacitive ones.
The Desire is thicker than the Nexus One and has the trademark HTC chin, while the Nexus One does not.
The Nexus One has dual microphones paired with an Audience chip for active noise cancellation, while the Desire does not.
The Nexus One is pure, stock Android while the Desire has HTC Sense on top of Android, which is better for average customers.

As for the OP's question, I don't think there is any flip phone which is actually durable/tough. In fact, any phone with moving parts is bound to suffer from wear and tear after a while.

And desire is cheaper then nexus one right ?

Yes the Desire is 46k and available with major retailers, while the Nexus One is running out fast and is only available to devs, that too for 60-70k.
As for flip phones, I doubt there are many modern flip smartphones out there. A good candidate would be the BlackBerry Pearl Flip and the Nokia N76, but that's about it.

I dont want a expensive full of features small flip phone just the one that does the basic functions of calling and messaging and is stylish !
