A few recommendations1. Since you are buying used, don't fall for a consumer model laptop no matter how beautiful it looks unless seller can provide written 3 months or more warranty. Go for a dell latitude or hp elitebook.2. If shopping for dell, ask for 7 series models, 7 series are compareable to elitebooks while 6 series are comparable to probooks.3. Try to avoid quad core models, the tiny performance advantage of a used quad core machine would be offset by the fact that it will be equipped with a quadro type graphic card only good for engineering applications (CAD / CAM) and very bad battery backup. You aren't buying alienware or razer laptop in that budget so quad core won't be of use to you unless you convert videos / run heavy photoshop filters all the time.4. Try to get a good base machine (graphic card + cpu + good display and clean chassis), you can always shell out a few thousand later for upgrading ram or adding storage (bigger hard or ssd)5. You might get an AMD APU powered laptop cheaper, these are great for general use but not so good for demanding tasks e.g. gaming and such. AMD APU laptops generally boot faster than Intel ones and provide better battery life if these are your preferences, then AMD APUs are also good but resale isn't good.6. Laptops are sorted by quality, you might get 4000 Rs. difference in price for the same model and specs but the differences can be internal such as many laptops I've seen have harddrive plugged in losely without proper bracket, scratches, low battery life, non genuine windows etc.7. Decide for a screensize and stick to it, 14" laptops don't come with separate numeric pad, 15 inch laptops are heavier, 17" are more heavier with worst battery life, 10-13 inch laptops have weaker specification and higher price for same specs.I was in the similar dilemma a few months ago, though I had my mind set on getting an elitebook but there was advise against HP coming from everywhere regarding overheating issues and what not. I kind of spent a whole semester weighing in options and decided to get an elitebook 8470p (can be had for 18-23k depending upon options) but at last moment I was able to increase my budget to 30-35k + prices fell down (the 8470p was for 25-30k when I was doing my research). My total budget was 30k and I went to market, again most vendors tried to sell their dell latitude stock + nobody had 4th gen laptops in stock except for a few dells except one shop. Who had A+ condition stock of 840 and 850 elitebooks.I decided to buy an elitebook 840 Ci5 for 26k, asked him to configure it to my specs (12 GB Ram, 1 TB Hard) price went up to 29k after all negotiations but I wasn't satisfied so I asked him to install the components and I'll be back. The second shop that I had considered tried to sell me workstation models (Horrible battery life, very heavy weight but desktop level performance) of latitudes and elitebooks, zbooks but I decided against it. The same seller when got to know that I was buying (he thought i was just checking prices because I had visited the market a few times before) suddenly brings out a latitude e7440 (or some other premium 7 series 14" 4th gen ci5 latitude), and tells me it is one and only piece but a very premium one. Again I declined, I needed to study reviews on internet + check for local market support before finalizing. So I come back to the first vendor and he tells me that for the upgraded price I can buy a core i7 elitebook 840 on base configuration, when I saw the machine I was like OMG, it was superclean + touch screen (at time when used consumer level touch screen laptops started from 38k minimum), AMD Graphics (nothing impressive in gaming sorts but still GTA IV, GTA V are playable at very decent settings). So I decided to buy it. 3 months Since I had it and I've used it at maximum stress levels, it heats up? yes, Do I need to worry? No, every laptop heats up if it ever overheated, it'll slow down to reduce tempratures and then shutdown altogather before any damage happens.I'd recommend the same to you, buy an 8470p or 840 G1, G2 which ever falls in your budget.Specs of my 840:i7 4600u processor. (First No. is generation, last three represent model, common core i5 model in 4th gen is 4200u)Last word u represents ultra low voltage, these processors provide very good battery backup, for performance you can go for laptops (portable workstations) with QM model quad core processors but don't expect light weight or battery backup any more than just saving your files and shutting down.AMD + Intel switchable graphics.320GB Hard (You can probably get 500GB, or 1TB as well) but I just wanted a powerful base machine, I plan to add ssds all around later)4GB Ram (again, for my current use it is kind of enough, My second upgrade would be to buy 2 identical sticks to get it working in dual channel mode)14" 1600*900 touch screen display (try to get at least 1600*900 display, a good display is what makes a laptop looks like it was worth spending money on, though mine isn't IPS but if you can get a laptop with IPS screen, go for it rather than simple TN Display)Multitouch trackpad, pointstick, backlit keyboard, fingerprint reader.4 USB 3.0 Ports (1 for charging), display port (HDMI converter required), VGA Port.Genuine activated windows 10 (I was able to add it to my Microsoft account for life)

Gradually transitioning from console gaming to PC as the games are not worth it. 6 hours of Hellblade 2 is just not worth the $50 price tag.
Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.

did you try setting up Google Payments? For UBL you may have to get it enabled for internet transactions, Naya should work without it!

  • Aciel Aciel:
I tried both NayaPay, and UBL, but I keep getting "correct country selected..." error. I already have PK set there 🤦‍♂️

Nope. They have a very valid case. The above video explains it all.
