6 hours daily sonay ko nahi miltay [emoji22] but i don't think spending time is an issue. There are collectively 4 family members who'd love to spend time with the dog so the attention thing is covered.

First of all you need to take an oath that you will care of the animal, give him the proper time, care, food, place and training + attention, I remember when I got the puppy I kept him beside my bed in his proper crate the first night I brought him home! (you have to do this too for first few week, very important for a two month puppy).
Secondly, I am not sure about that 4 other family members can take care thing, if they are working or studying then you have to first double check that they will do the care of the pup while you are away, secondly given time doesn't mean that you just give him a time at home by just trowing ball etc, you need to take him on a walk and running as dogs require exercise (all large breed does), else he will get sick..there's a lot more which I can't type here.. and yes lastly the food, I hope you are not one of those people who give that nasty stuff to their dogs (Cheechray, kallay ka meat and such shit), they require proper food and nutritions (lots of imported brands are now available in Pakistan for dog food)
Now, my recommendation for newbie like you is: Labrador (keep in mind it requires
at least 7K+ a month for food only, medicine and vet fees are additional cost..which you need to bear too)..if budget is an issue, I recommend you to avoid having a dog, get a cat it will cost you less!
Checklist for newbies (before making a decision of getting a dog):
- Proper dog crate (required for putty training too)
- Collar & leash
- Food and water bowls
- treats / goodies
- Grooming supplies (shampoo, shower, towel, brush etc)
- Chew Toys
- Need to give a lot of time to the pup (I took a week off from the work..first week is very important for a new pup),
- Proper place with proper cooling (build a place in your house where he can have cool air and shadow (no direct sunlight)..in a warm weather / summer you need to do special care too
If you have any questions, do let me know!
