What is a relative easy maintenence dog and not too expensive to buy and the best situated to the hot temperature of Pakistan?

I was thinking about getting a Labrador or a golden retriever, I initial wanted a German Shepard but those are way too aggressive and much more expensive.

I have never owned a dog so if someone has had any experience then please share.

all dogs need maintenance and love
if you arent willing to spend a minimum 3hrs with the dog please dont get one, it will just be torture

labs and golden retrievers need a lot of attention so unless you are willing to spend 6hrs with it, do not get this breed

6 hours daily sonay ko nahi miltay [emoji22] but i don't think spending time is an issue. There are collectively 4 family members who'd love to spend time with the dog so the attention thing is covered.

DO YOUR RESEARCH.. cant stress this enough..you are bringing a live animal in your house...also if it is a big breed, understand that they require substantial amount of care, money, time, effort and other resources.

First of all you need to take an oath that you will care of the animal, give him the proper time, care, food, place and training + attention, I remember when I got the puppy I kept him beside my bed in his proper crate the first night I brought him home! (you have to do this too for first few week, very important for a two month puppy).

Secondly, I am not sure about that 4 other family members can take care thing, if they are working or studying then you have to first double check that they will do the care of the pup while you are away, secondly given time doesn't mean that you just give him a time at home by just trowing ball etc, you need to take him on a walk and running as dogs require exercise (all large breed does), else he will get sick..there's a lot more which I can't type here.. and yes lastly the food, I hope you are not one of those people who give that nasty stuff to their dogs (Cheechray, kallay ka meat and such shit), they require proper food and nutritions (lots of imported brands are now available in Pakistan for dog food)

Now, my recommendation for newbie like you is: Labrador (keep in mind it requires at least 7K+ a month for food only, medicine and vet fees are additional cost..which you need to bear too)..if budget is an issue, I recommend you to avoid having a dog, get a cat it will cost you less!

Checklist for newbies (before making a decision of getting a dog):

- Proper dog crate (required for putty training too)
- Collar & leash
- Food and water bowls
- treats / goodies
- Grooming supplies (shampoo, shower, towel, brush etc)
- Chew Toys
- Need to give a lot of time to the pup (I took a week off from the work..first week is very important for a new pup),
- Proper place with proper cooling (build a place in your house where he can have cool air and shadow (no direct sunlight)..in a warm weather / summer you need to do special care too

If you have any questions, do let me know!

I have most things covered on the list besides the crate part. What exactly is the crate? Moreover I want to know what the potty procedure, should I let him do in the lawn or should a get something special?

Another thing I want to know is what dog food to get and in what quantities?

Does a pedigree dog matter a lot? The people I've come across are selling fake pedigree labs so I've decided to not get one since I'd probably getting a non pedigree desguised as a pedigree anyway.

This is a crate: http://images.wisegeek.com/dog-crate.jpg (easily available in Karachi)

Dog food depends on the breed and weather condition, i can't write the whole text here (lazy) I have used various brands and my dog settle with: Farmina Pet Foods - Dog food - Cat food (it's not necessary yours like the same too..) but it's a good brand and after that you have "Taste of the Wild" etc do your research a bit, join various pet forums to get help (lots of Pakistani communities exist on facebook for dogs / pets)

No one can sell a fake pedigree, it comes with a license number, documentation and your pup will going to have chip in the neck which can be scanned via a bar code reader (it's a Kennel Club of Pakistan - KCP standard procedure), besides that there are number of good lab breeders in Pakistan (but i am not a lab fan..so can't help in this..use facebook..I am sure you will find many) Labrador Retriever Club of Sindh Public Group | Facebook

If I were you, I will go with pedgreed pup for various reasons!

Dog owner/lover from the past 8 years. if you're new to this, start off with a labrador or even a German shepherd but they will require a little more maintainance than a Labrador cause of its fur and how it sheds. If you're getting a a puppy around 2 months you will need to keep an extra eye on him for the first few weeks. As for the food, Dog food is good but home feed is not a bad alternative either. If you have any more questions feel free to ask or PM me

Homefeed requires a lot more experience and dedication, that's why I never recommend it to the newbie, he will mix it off once he get some experiece later on! besides that a proper homefeed requires more time and initial money investment for buying supplements and vitamins which one needs to mix with the homemade feed.

Did y'all see the new Assassin's Creed trailer? They finally made a AC set in Japan & then they put a negro as the male protagonist. Ubisoft is taking cues from Disney, and it isn't gonna end well for them, just like Disney. Go woke, go broke!

if we are moving towards more and more popular trash across platforms that make billions for companies, I'm happy with all the barriers and exclusivity because at least that brings some pressure to create good stuff.
