[SOLVED] Warranty Claim

I need some information about graphic cards warranty. I bought Gigabyte R9 380 from a store in islamabad called Beegeek about 18 months ago.In october 2016, my graphic card stopped giving display,fans start and everything is ON but no display.I took it to some people in isb and i was told about international warranty claim.I contact EaseTec in isb who handle Gigabyte warranty (The warranty was 1+2 years).A guy there told me to contact Beegeek but Beegeek has been shutdown for over 8 months now.Also he told that it is not viable to claim intl warranty as there is possibility i might not get my card back at all.
Anyways i contacted Beegeek guys and one of the guys who was their manager operations,i think,responded that i bring card to him and they'll give it to vendor and claim warranty,he told me that as it is above my regional warranty time period so there will be either of 2 options
1: My cards gets replaced and i get a new R9 380,but i'll have to give some amount for international warranty or
2: If vendor didn't have this series in stock i'll be offered a matching card from new series,which vendor has and i'll have to pay difference between cards and can have new card from vendor.

After 3 months of continuous no-response-from-vendor-yet replies,beegeek guy told me that vendor says that my card can't be replaced and vendor will give a card from new series but i'll have to pay difference amount between new card and r9 380.I asked which card will be given and he said that as he is not in computer market anymore(he is doing a job in some company so he is not in touch with latest PC market things).Can someone tell me how much would be depreciation amount for Gigabyte R9 380 and which card is equal for that,i think they have RX series which they are offering as replacement.And also what is process to follow in this regard.

BeeGeek was entertaining warranty for all the products pruchased prior to their closure.


I believe you can still be lucky.

What he said, is true.

You will have to pay the difference regardless of what card you had now.
because the cards are not in the market anymore.


So just go ahead and do it.
Its better than buying a whole new GPU.

That is why made this thread in hoping if i can get advice on going through with this,which you answered and i appreciate it alot, and around what range would be depreciation cost of R9 380 now.so i would know how much differenc ei really have to pay rather than relying on vendor statement about how much extra i have to pay extra.Beedgeek guys have been cooperative though,i it was a nice surprise.

Well,
My R9 280x was sent in warranty and i paid about 8k difference. (Got a R9 380)

I'm guessing it'll cost you around 8-12k.

I would go for the 1060 hands down.

Edit: Actually I did go for the 1060. 1060 competes with a 480.

1060 if the difference is not too much.
if you can get it 1-2 more than 470 then go for it.

Compared to RX470.
1060 is a better card! Have fun.

Oh and if possible see if you can go for RX480.
Otherwise, its all good.
1060 is a good card.

Go for 1060, its better than both 470/480, and will also cost you less in electricity bills.

Ok time for update.First thanks to all who gave good advice and were helpful,really appreciate it guys.

I talked to vendor directly and was asked to visit their store to work out this whole process. Vendor told me that with extra 11k i can get RX 470,and with 1.5k more i can get 1060 3 GB.I inquired about 1060 6GB as that was most recommended card in this whole range.He told that around 16k more for 1060 6 GB.They didn't have RX 480 4 Gb in stock and 8 Gb one was going a bit far away from my budget.So i i went for GTX 1060 6GB. First this one is the most recommended choice of all others and second my experience of AMD wasn't good,whereas Nvidia has always been reliable for me.AMD R9 380,though a beautiful card as really made my games gorgeous,but it died pretty quickly as compared to my last 3 nvidia cards so it decided to go for Nvidia.The vendor also recommended 1060 over 480 as it seems to be better option.

Lsstly i would say that beegeek guys were fantastically cooperative in solving my warranty issue,yes it took me 3 months but only because delay was from vendor side.So special thanks to usman and zubair of beegeek,those guys were very helpful and if you have warranty left from beegeek they would also help you.
