20 minute was 2 less so I disconnected it. I was not sure if battery is culprit or inverter. Inverter is 3 year old and battery just one season old.
After few days gap, a friend came to check and UPS Inverter did not power up at all. Attempted many time but its behaving like dead. No beep, sound or light thing. It prompted me that not battery but invertor was the culprit.
Yesterday I bought sealed pack brand new homage inverter. It powers up when not connected to battery but it does not after I connect it with battery. Wires are very well connected but it looks totally dead when connected with battery but shows blue like light and screen readings when I disconnect both battery wires.
Hope I have explained the problem somehow. Whats wrong ? Guide me please.

Trying a new battery is not an easy option. It costs 12/14K rupees. As I said battery is only 1 season used. Now problem is that UPS does not power on when battery is connected. I am afraid I will be facing same result after connecting with a new battery. It should at least lights up even if battery is bad.

dear i read ur sad story ... but i dont understand that y it didnt occur to u in first place that ur previous invertor was absolutely fine ... actually it over charged the battery or mite b battery's cell was dead ... in both case u needed to replace the battery .. instead u dc the battery from inverter ... resulting in deep discharging the battery .. if at that point u got the battery charge from a battery wala thn it wud hv given u the backup once u again attached it with ur previous inverter ... neways bottom line is this that u need to change the battery or else get it checked from a battery wala shop .. he will check it with battery tester .. if he finds the battery ok thn he will charge the battery otherwise kiss ur battery good bye n go for new one ...
Do you have a ups at home? Just connect the router to that, it barely consumes any electricity been using my router like this for 5 years with no problem. No need to buy a separate ups. And there is no need to have a sine wave ups either, the adapter of the router should be 100-240v and you'll never experience router restarts when switching to ups.

Need to Run 3 fans and 2/3 led energy savers need a ups because of the random electricity faults in night etc. so recommend me a ups setup for it

You probably have a battery with internal short. Borrow a battery or use a car battery just to check your old inverter and new homage one as well. A multimeter would be really helpful too.
Get a 1000VA or 600 Watts UPS atleast. My recommendation would be to go with a Homage HEX-1004 UPS or something similar.Buy a dry battery if you can afford and buy a good one confidently else go for highest Phoenis UGS series you can afford.

You cannot be a 100% sure about that. The UPS in my house does not turn on without a battery connected no matter what if I remember correctly.
try branded apc ups ... its 1500 va will do the job ... pure sinewave technology .. works with 2 batteries ..
to check battery like this is easy ... this procedure only tells u whether ur ups charger is fine or not ... connect ur inverter / ups with battery and also with mains .. after the ups is online then disconnect it from the batteries by removing one terminal of the battery .. if the ups remains in online mode means ups is ok but if ur ups switches off thn ups charger is conked out ......
Any idea if Homage Hex 1004 use real copper and not silver?

Real copper or silver what? Transformers? These supplies use switched mode power supplies i think which is different than the big bulky transformers used in local UPS.
You can say Chopper circuit, it actually works on buck and boost. In short, it actually boost 12vdc to 300vdc and then rectifies it to 230Vac. They are also known as Transformer less Inverters.

In the previous years, the shop keeper used to first charge the battery for a day and I would get the battery on the next day. But now he's saying that they offer "charged-ready" batteries as well, which means that I won't have to wait for a day to buy it. My question is it safe to get batteries that are already charged like this? Does it in any way reduce the life of the battery?

Nope, will not make a difference. usually new batteries are filled with acid which makes the cell charge initially but a new battery needs to be deep charged before the first use. But honestly it will not make a difference. Charged or not you can use it as long as you do not drain it completely on your first use.
