Guys i need a backup for dsl modem so that i can get uninterrupted wifi in my home any time. So what is there any mini ups that can power on such a small device?

yes u can ........... on rear side there is a small white button next to serial port ... click it till the led lit next to it went dim ... full glow means hi sensitivty ... dim means low sensitivity .. use any sharp pointer thing to press it ... dont push too hard just a simple push ll work ...

I have a ups which does not run on generator electricity, i mean i want my ups to use battries when light goes but when i start the generator it should stop using battries power but my ups is not doing this maybe my ups is not compitable but if there is any way i can do it please help.

UPS is an electronic item whereas generator is electo mechanical ... ups works with 50 hertz or u can say some ups like APC brand has some window like 45 to 55 hertz ... whereas generator's frequency keep on changing .. so if ur generator is branded then no issue but if its non branded then it creates problem for ups .. when its frequency went above or below the ups frequency range thn ups ll not detect the current n goes in battery mode ... some ups don't react with the frequency factor these r called DUMP UPS ... so in short if u can then ask a generator man to set ur generator frequency ... it will take to 2 to 3 mins without any hazzelness ...

Can we to use ups for charging a car's battery

yes u can ... not a big deal but its better to buy a local made charger for this cux car battery is not hi in amps ..

Does anybody know what the Wide and Narrow switch on a UPS is for. From what i read on the internet, it should be in narrow mode to use with a TV, Computer and Electronics. Any help will be appreciated.

wide means to charge batteries @ 20 amps ( in case u want ur battery to ef up soon ) and narrow means to charge batteries @ 10 amps ... 10 amps is ideal charging current for batteries but cux ov extensive blackouts we want our batteries to be fully charged b4 the next coming hourly blackout ...

just got to ur local electronics market where small rating ups is available ... u just need a 650 va or 600 va ups for this tiny miny load ... 650 va makes 350 to 400 watts depending on the brand ... it contains single battery of 12V, 7Ah ... that ll give u good run time during load shedding ... but only buy from that shop who is willing to give u one year warranty for both battery and ups otherwise he ll only rip u off ... cux the battery inside these ups can be sometimes a nuisance ...

Well that is the issue. i want it to charge below 190. till 150 or somthing clsoe. no sensative eqi is connected to it. just fan and lights. i keep separate ups for sensitive eqi.

well its not abut lite phanka or any other sensitive thing .. its abut ups .. its a ups not a stabilizer .. all ups has their own built in stabilizer range ... apc has 190 to 280 v .. so if volts in ur side is less than or above than this range thn buy a relay wala stabilizer .. orelse u go for servo motor wala stabilizer ... use stabilizer behind ups n wallah !!!!! everything is ok ...

two options . one is relay wala stabilizer n second one is servo motor wala stabilizer ... if u hv handsum amount ov money thn go for servo motor stabilizer from AETCO ... situated near LAKSMI CHOWK, near SHESHA MARKET ... if u want relay stabilizer thn visit end of hall road where their is mobile accessories market .. there u ll find many shops of stabilizer .. buy only pure copper one n let them mentioned it on receipt ... SERVO MOTOR is pretty xpensive but way too good .. but relay wala stabilizer is also ok .. after all u r using it with frij .. so relay wala ll work fine too ...

for fridge just look at its rare side n there u ll c a sticker where its wattage or amperes ll be mentioned ... in case its written amperes then multiply it with 230 and u ll get the answer in VA ( volt amperes ) .. let say there is written 2 ampers then multiply 2 by 230 i.e 2 X 230 = 460VA ...

Gas generators.

Generators running on gas are illegal or what? i have seen ssgc officials harassing citizens because of gas generators even though if you pay huge amount of bills,if generators are illegal to run on gas,why the hell public buses are allowed to run no cng? thanks.

Public buses were allowed and encouraged by the stupid zardari govt. to run on CNG. Idiots didn't have the foresight of depleting gas reserves.

Gas gen's are not illegal. You can regularize them by SSGC if over 3000-3500W - they will install a different gas meter. If you have a gen that's 3000-3500W or lower, you don't need to do anything and can ask SSGC to fuck off.

They are illegal. Yes if over a specific limit like said above, then it becomes a commercial thing and then they install a commercial meter. So you get charged like that. We also get harrased by them but we know their trick so we usually tell them that it's not working or majority of times I don't even let them come inside to inspect the house.
