So after coming back from Pak, having setup and tested everything, I thought I'd finally make this thread now. Some pics and performance numbers:

i7 4770K:

Delidded, cleaned up and TIM replaced with CLU:

ASUS Z87 Deluxe:

Some close-ups of the mobo and cpu:

So first boot with a stock cooler was a success, so nothing was DOA gladly:

As you can see, the watercooling pipes were all out of order and the actual installation was fixing that part, so initially:

Got some water out as it had been sitting there for 3-months, motherboard installed:

Then the Raystorm installed:

And then I was mostly good with everything else:

Almost five days to my order placement, the beast MO-RA3 with Acetal feet arrived. This is pretty much the biggest high-quality rad that money can buy. The packaging was quite decent:

36 screws for 9 fans:

The Acetal feet specifically for this type of rad:

And the same day, later on, I got my fans. These are 140mm Prolimatech Blue Vortex, lets just say, one of a kind from this company:

I also got an XSPC temp sensor that tells me the temp of the distilled water in the loop:

And here's it in action:

So I hooked up the feet was ready to install it in the loop:

Fans installed:

Connected the fans temporarily with just 7 connections as I ran out of them, but the proper connectors would be arriving on monday:

So after a week of tweaking, I found out the OC potential of my 4770K and as like many, it's not too good. However, 4.3Ghz @ 1.168V does it for me 24/7, temp-wise and performance-wise. Batch no. is L311B203.

4.4Ghz isn't even stable at 1.216V and as the next VCore bump is 1.232V, I thought that 4.3Ghz @ 1.168V obviously scaled better and was good enough. Bench-wise, I could easily runs benches at 4.6Ghz @ 1.248V. 4.7Ghz on the other hand needed a little above 1.350V just for benches, stability was another game.

I guess coming down the line, this 4770K is the first chip that I couldn't do 5Ghz with. By that I mean the following in series:

When Sandy came out, max frequencies, 2500K @ 5.2Ghz (air)
Ivy's retail at release day 3570K @ 5.3Ghz (water)
Ivy 3770K @ 5.067Ghz (water)

And as for Haswell, I really didn't bother going above 4.7Ghz for obviously reasons. And yeah, Both Ivys and this Haswell have been delidded. @max007, Haswell is a lot more responsive than Ivy ever was. It's faster, it's really good on wattage and that's what makes it worth it.

As for the memory, I was able to take my stock 2133Mhz Ripjaws Z (4 sticks) up to 2800Mhz @ 12-14-14-35 2c (1.675V). Just to mention that these aren't ordinary Ripjaws Z, but they rather came with Hynix CFR's in the production of 2012. I can easily bench at 12-14-12-35, haven't tried any lower. As it wouldn't boot at the next IMC multiplier i.e. 2933Mhz, may it be 1.78V or 15-15-15-45 clock speeds, so I knew that this was CPU bound. The max I could get was 2832Mhz and that's about it.

As for straps, the 125Mhz was the only one that I could boot on, 167Mhz or any other combination didn't work no matter what I tried.

A pic of what I'm talking about. The geekbench run is at 4.7Ghz:

Thanks for looking.

Ali man, i am guess something big is coming ;)
trust me man, hold your horses wait for the price cut for nvidia gpus, then buy gtx 780 or ati 9 series if i didnt have drivers issues, saying this cauz you are one of those lucky guys who can order from Newegg not like us who are dependent of rip of sellers and distributors :(
why didnt you order maximus VI formula its just 30 or 40$ more, its front plastic armor is pathetic but the back plate and the built-in audio makes it 100$ above hero, you could have gone with blue and red optimus prime color theme. That Rad is a one time only purchase, seriously money cant buy anything better ;)

mashAllah...
Big big congrats on your epic setup. and truly one of a kind radiator...
But your CPU overclocking potential is already limited by the obvious facts you stated ,, so is it like really worth it to have such a huge radiator ?? Anyhow,, i am waiting for the proper connectors you mentioned to arrive so your EPIC setup (like always) can look even better...

P-- IS it possible that u can somehow mount the entire radiator as a side panel of your casing ???

And i think your PC radiator is better than the one in my car...

I think that's an awesome rig. It's one of the very finest and neat systems ever seen on PG. Thank you so much for the comparison review between Ivy and Haswell. Even though Haswell cannot be much over-clocked (in numbers), but it still beats the older generations by a margin.

Thanks man, even though my OC potential hasn't dramatically increased, but my overall CPU and GPU temps have gone down and it's more like future proofing any extra GPU that I add to the loop, later on if need be.

Yea I can and a few people even do that, but I don't wanna spoil my casings side panel and plus I have enough space just to keep it chillin on the floor.

Thanks man, appreciate it. And that's true, as they've literally doubled the L1 & L2 cache and have done a lot more tweaking to the architecture, it does stand up to its name. Most people may not believe it, but a 4.3Ghz 4770K is roughly equal to a 5Ghz 2600K and a 4.5-4.6Ghz 3770K. After hours of gaming, my CPU temps don't go over 58C and GPU doesn't break 40C.

awesome setup!
how much temp drop have you observed after adding the 1260 rad?

IMO the rad is a bit overkill; you already have 720 rads installed which are more than enough. i have 3 gtx670s and a 2500k running on a single phobya nova 1080 and the gpu temps do not cross 38c and cpu 53c with constant 95 ~ 100% load with ambient temps of approx 28c.

plus the MO-RA3 is fairly restrictive rad and you should add another d5 in series.

Roughly 7-10C drop in temps, depending upon the ambients. A single D5 can easily handle this configuration. Out of its 1~5 speeds, where 1 is the slowest and 5 is the highest, I'm running it at 1.5
It doesn't matter how fast the fluid is flowing, that doesn't have any effect on temps, some people misunderstand this fact.

2500K @ stock and three 670's with no botteneck from the CPU? I remember I could run my 2500K @ 5.2Ghz without it breaking 60C with a Silver Arrow, those chips ran cool at 32nm due to hardly any transistor density causing heat issues, keeping the fluxless welded IHS on a side.
I could have gotten the 1080 Nova for half the price, but this I found to be a lot better build and also made in Germany (WaterCool), so it was obvious.

Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.
The cross gen era really made people think 60fps would be a new standard lol

Welp, done with Hellblade 2. Thoroughly disappointed. Such a nothing burger after the unique experience of the first game.

I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

It is indeed the worst generation by far.

Both PS and Xbox have been a flop this gen as they can barely maintain 30 fps in a lot of AAA games th.

As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

Gradually transitioning from console gaming to PC as the games are not worth it. 6 hours of Hellblade 2 is just not worth the $50 price tag.
Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
