Hi Guys,

I am back with an unboxing after such a LONG time that I can't even remember. I thought this time, I would like to share with you a couple of things that I recently purchased.

I have been out of the gaming scene since I moved to London back in August 2013 and this is a way back I guess :)

With out further a due, I present to the following:

1. Gigabyte Ultrablade P35W V2 CF1
2. Roccat Kone XTD 8200 DPI
3. Roccat Raivo gaming surface

I bought all of the above from OverclockersUK. Tremendous re-sellers and awesome service all around.

The laptop even came with a free copy of Watch Dogs Special Edition and Battlefield 4 and a Antec SP1 Bluetooth Speaker

The Antec SP1 Bluetooth Speaker

On to the main item in the box... The Gigabyte P35W

Specifications:

First test of the Machine: Batman Arkham Origins. (Was dying to play this game)... Other games are being downloaded at the moment

Coming to the mouse now. Had lots of discussions with Ali Kamran, and decided on Roccat Kone XTD 8200DPI

Spoiler: show

The gaming surface is superb and came with a good deal with the mouse.. Roccat Raivo

First Impressions:-

On the laptop: I had done my research before buying this sleek awesome looking gaming notebook. The other options at the time of purchase were MSI GS70 Stealth Pro, Asus ROG G750JS but I found the gigabyte P35W to be the best bang for buck in terms of styling, specs and pricing offcourse.
The body really feels light and the laptop itself weighs only 2.1KG. For a hardcore gaming machine, this is very good.
So far the keyboard and track pad do a good job but I think they could have made the track pad slightly better. The issue I have with the track pad is that there is a button in the centre and two buttons on the bottom. I dont get why put a centre button then. Otherwise, everything feels quite premium, the keys feel like I am typing on a apple macbook pro keyboard and has a slight flex aswell. I have so far tested Batman Arkham Origins on every high detail and it worked flawlessly (No complaints). I will be testing Battlefield 4 and watch dogs this week.
The fan on this laptop does get a little loud but this was expected for a slim factor gaming machine. Bottom line is the temps remain in a decent range and I can game for hours.

On the Mouse: I have used a lot of decent mice in the past ranging from Razer Lachesis, Razer Death adder to Logitech G500. I can safely say, Roccat have out done them selves. I use a palm grip and this mouse delivers on all fronts. The ergonomics, the rubberized texture feel, the braded cable and the weight management system is what makes this mouse POP! It is designed for FPS and MMO players.

On the Surface: Feels decent, doesnt let the mouse slip like it did for the goliathus speed edition. No complaints yet.

I hope you guys enjoyed the long unboxing which I felt was long overdue from my side. If you have any questions other than how much the above costed, you are welcome. Any tests you want me to run, I will try my best to accommodate.

Congrats! Though I still believe a Razer Blade is the best gaming laptop there is...
Well yes and no. The razer blade has an awesome display at 3K res (Which doesnt do well on gaming) and better looking overall design. But the price is too much to pay ffor similar specs IMO.

hhmm..in pak, we dont get cd/drivers with lptp .. only charger and daba !!

plus point for u !!!
You should get them if you buy from proper re-sellers.

I found out that myshop.pk or myshop.com.pk are proper re-sellers and they do give all the accessories.

And why do u want cd/drivers anyways... this is 2014 now bro... no one uses drivers from the CD. I would really care less if they included it in the box

awesome products you got here bro.... but i still think Alienware is best for hardcore laptop gaming.
Thanks Waqas. Alienware is good but not impressive in my honest opinion. You have look at various things when u judge a laptop.

Key things are:
Weight
Style
Design
Specs
Ergonomics
PRICE :D
and finally support/warranty

I think the best gaming laptop to get on the market at the moment is Aorus x7 v2 by Gigabyte. Do check it out
