Well... burn-in normally suggests (from what I've understood), leave them on 60% volume for a couple of hourse. In total, I think you may have at least 100 hours or so. Then you can keep them on 90% volume for another 100 hours. You can use rock songs (something like Linkin Park's Hybrid theory I guess, which covers almost all over the sound spectrum) or you can have a mix with other songs, all-rounder songs.
But do remember - I think you may as well use your on-board or X-Fi or something. The FiiO may not be recommended for burn-in as it may be too loud for so many hours. You don't wanna damage the diaphragm (which, from what I've seen starts from the surround un-glueing itself from the basket). Just a thought. Juussst a thought.
I'm yet to see BURN-IN make an actual difference though. Maybe I'm not audiophile enough, or maybe it's just subjective. Beats me though. Look around for geekier folks I guess ;-P!!!
Yeah there are lots of reviews about burn in some says do it some says its not required Audiotechnica themselves don't recommend though thats what they say
Headphones do not require ‘burning’ in, however over a period of time the sound of headphones naturally change by a very small margin.
To make these slight changes happen sooner you can play music through your headphones for 50+ hours at normal listening levels. This ‘burning in’ process can have the following effects:
A smoother frequency extension in the bass and treble
Better instrument separation
A more open sound stage
Remember these changes are very slight and would happen naturally in time without ‘burning in’ your headphones
oh So this is what you got in the end. Sexy Looking Headphone.
Congratz Man its really worth the price. Separate Cable is also one of its positives (2t)
Yeah finally went for this after reading alot about this headphone as its all round good performer
heard mix of review for gaming though some says its good some says they ain't meant for that and has smaller sound stage so it shouldnot Fair well with gaming
some says they are good with gaming as well for multiplayer
But personally i find it awesome for gaming too the positional Audio listening to Enemy position and foot step is doing great job
More over The Explosion and Gun Shot Firing is giving awesome punch in battlefield 4bthe Guns Sounds seems real Now
Detachable cable is great feature plus they provide three size of cables
Detachable cables (includes 1.2 m - 3.0 m coiled cable, 3.0 m straight cable and 1.2 m straight cable)
i am using coiled cable now good for Cable management and smaller one is good for Listening on Phone as it would easier to carry. Headphone comes with Carrying pouch as well to travel around for lan session or whatever usage of portability
And the Zalman mic solved the gaming Voip / teamspeak solved the issue as it came with the bundle and it can be accompanied with it as zalman has Cable clips to tie around with Headphone cable
