Well, for some this might be an irrelevant gadget, but for me, it was on my wishlist for a long time (2008 infact!).

What it is:
This is 3Dconnexion’s micro precision sensor technology that gives users the ability to move a model in all directions. The technology features six high performance optical sensors which react to the contro11er cap’s movements in the micrometer range.

TL;DR version: Its used for 3-dimensional navigation for 3D Modelling and designing; for sotwares like Pro-E (PTC Creo), Solidworks and etc etc .. as well as 3D Studio max, Maya, Sketchup and the lot. I use mechanical design and modelling software a lot; as well as Sketchup for designing lots of stuff, so this was a must have gadget. And alhamdulillah, its a real treat to use!

1. Geometric modeling is applied mathematics.
2. Matlab is for algorithm development and implementation, not 3d modelling (excluding Simmechanics)
3. Autocad is generally used for 2D Drafting.

i was not making fun.. asking what kind of 3d does this mouse do in apps ??

and yes, make 3d thread whch can help here and InShaa Allah, i will also put my effort in it !!

Well, its a mouse that helps in moving around the 3D models with much more ease that using the standard Keyboard Mouse combo. Its basically to boost the efficiency for modeling, apart from looking totally cool
