Buddy i think its your fyp and its a animation project ? Why not you guys continue it or make a game.. but you need good scripting knowledge because of udk. I am happy to see that now university allows these game project as fyp because i also want to make a game in fyp but my some f***king uni teachers denied to accept proposal of game.

Really Nice effort there fezan though i feel texturing could be made better res and if you really making a Game then you will have to storyboard lots of stuff on How the Map Should be

Umair no its not animation its a game project. Its just environment demonstration! we are doing many vidual scripting and yes some unreal script too.
@pleasent yes texturing is weak for two reasons
1-performance take a lot of hit
2- we are just beginner in Photoshop :D
But the rest is there the maps are designed enemy is placed and some scripting also takes place!
we also have a multiplayer map.will sahre it with pg soon

ammar26 I already know dude !!! i am also a developer.. but 3 to 4 hours is very less in the case of design patterns and language dependencies !!! Because they are student and doing fyp so i want to know how much time that it takes to learn new scripting language as student level so we can able to help them to increase their productivity !!!!!

I am interested in knowing a good resource to start working with UDK now that I have it set up with VS 2010. The editor helps you make the map, but what I want to do is make the map by myself with my own algorithm. Can that be done?

On further probing and prodding, I found out that UDK forces you to use their script and does not allow C++ integration. I might probably jump to Cryengine sdk

A good resource is 3D Buzz Video Tutorials
and UDK allows you to work with C/C++

well if anyone goes straight for Unreal Script without any prior knowledge of Programming, it might require 3-4 months for him to understand Unreal Script.
But if someone has done a little programming that involves control flow management (not HTML or CSS) then he / she can learn Unreal Script in less then a month (depending upon his learning abilities)

Why would you want to use either Cryengine or Unreal? They both charge you 25-30% on profit, you know that right? It's better to either use Unity or Panda3D (if your going for Computer only) or perhaps Marmalade?

sorry for late reply as i rarely visit pg now a days !
For people asking about Scripting we havent done any ue scripting yet beside some basic stuff like chnaging blood etc but for programmers it should be very easy as it uses same concepts as java and c++ minus the un neccesary stuff.
but there is also a very powerful visual scripting tool which can do many things like AI doors and other scripting stuff.
This tools also extends for animation material and particle effects. Matinee an extension of this tool can be used for animation and cut scenes etc.

For some one asking about resources there are many some on youtube and 3dbuzz(they are old though) and udk forum is very helpfull.

I have played with cryengine sdk a lot too but i wouldn't recommend it as it is quite buggy. Also you will miss ios support.Unity free version is also limited so for someone wanting to making some games or want to get into industry i would recommend UDK.

Willing to kick start any one who need guide.but just for basics. because i am myself beginner ;)

I tried to find how it lets you work with C/C++, I could not find anything useful. I am mainly going to use it for graphical output while i will be doing all of my development in C++, which will involve Genetic Algorithm. Doing GA in unrealscript is not a good option. IF there is some tutorial online that lets you create your own file in C++ and let UDK work with it, it will be of great help!

Well for that purpose you have to use DLL Bind in UDK

You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
