it would be cool if it also have HotRod aka next prime from anime movie.
Not just hot rod but kup, springer and blurr too. But it's Michael Bay, he has proved it again and again he'll ruin the original characters and changes them according to his metal clanking- money making thinking :(

TRANSFORMERS 4 "Freightliner" Revealed; Is This Ultra Magnus?

Michael Bay has revealed another Transformers 4 vehicle via his official site, and we may just know which character this one is the disguise of! The Freightliner cab-over truck is quite possibly Optimus Prime's "brother", Ultra Magnus.

Is this a sign that Ultra Magnus will feature in Transformers 4? Well, the truck above certainly resembles the character when in vehicle mode, and sports a similar paint job. Ultra Magnus (sometimes depicted as Optimus Prime's brother) is an Auotobot who first came about in the form of a repainted Optimus Prime toy back in 1986, and has since appeared in various incarnations of the comics and animated series. Of course we don't know for sure if this will be Magnus, as the only description given on the site is: "The adventure continues to transform with a very different offering from Daimler Trucks North America . . . the imposing 2014 Argosy cab-over truck by Freightliner."

[h=1]Bumblebee Gets a Tune-Up for Transformers 4[/h] [h=2]Michael Bay reveals new images of the Autobot as a 2014 Camaro[/h]
We've already had our first sneak peek at Bumblebee as the vintage '67 Camaro in Transformers 4, but now director Michael Bay has revealed a new set of images depicting the fan-favorite Autobot as a 2014 Concept Camaro, dubbed "the final jewel" in the Transformers 4 crown.
This seems to suggest that, much like the first film, Bumblebee will be getting an overhaul in the new film. Either way, check out the pics below for a closer look at the new-and-improved Camaro:

Michael Bay Reveals That Chinese Superstar Han Geng Has Joined The Cast Of TRANSFORMERS 4

Michael Bay has released the following statement confirming that Han Geng has joined the cast of Transformers 4. Paramount are clearly making more of an effort than Disney and Marvel did with their recent Chinese co-production Iron Man 3 and this is a good sign that they're taking the commitment seriously. "He’s one of Asia’s top stars in the worlds of music, television and movies and has become one of the most influential entertainers in China," said Bay. "Now he’ll also be known for Transformers 4. Welcome Han Geng to the cast of Transformers 4." Directed by Michael Bay and starring Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci and Kelsey Grammer, the fourth Transformers movie is set to be released on June 27th, 2014.

[h=1]‘Transformers 4′: More Dinobot Rumors & New Details About Wahlberg’s Character[/h]

Every Transformers fan has been thinking it ever since Michael Bay started making these films back in 2007: When are we going to see some Dinobots up in this business? The Dinobots – which are, as they sound, Transformers that transform into robot dinosaurs – have been fan-favorites ever since their creation in the 1984 Transformers cartoon episode “S.O.S. Dinobots.”

Naturally, Transformers 4has been once again rumored to feature the characters, who recently got a major re-introduction into Transformers lore, thanks to the popular video game Transformers: Fall of Cybertron (which featured Dinobots leader Grimlock as a playable character). Watch the interview with TF4 star Mark Wahlberg above, and then judge for yourself: was he protecting a big Dinobots reveal?

First, lets discuss the fact that Wahlberg references his character, Flynn Vincent, as being a frustrated inventor. Up until now we heard Vincent described as a “gear-head,” a mechanic, father to a spunky car enthusiast daughter played by Bates Motel star Nicola Peltz, with comedian TJ Miller acting as his sidekick. The inventor bit is a curious new dimension to Flynn’s character, and given some previous rumors about the TF4 storyline, there’s a certain amount of logic to where Flynn’s inventive prowess could fit into the story (hint: restoration and evolution of certain Transformers).

[h=2][WARNING: POSSIBLE TF4 SPOILERS FOLLOW!!!][/h]
-----
Spoiler: show
A few months back, an alleged Transformers 4 plotline leaked to the Internet, and it was chock-full of iconic characters from the series – including The Dinobots. Since that time, certain elements of that proposed plotline – like the introduction of specific Transformer characters - have all been confirmed by the filmmakers. So, the idea of the Dinobots being in the film is a more or less believable one, making it easy to interpret Wahlberg’s reaction to the question (and general knowledge of the Dinobots’ existence) as further evidence that Grimlock and Co. will be stomping it up in the next film.

Since the beginning, Michael Bay himself has been promising that Transformers 4 would act as a semi-reboot of the franchise – one that would redesign the series before he hands it off to a new creative team. Needless to say, many moviegoers have been skeptical about the idea of Bay changing up his tried-and-true formula of Transformers box office domination; and yet, if there is one film franchise that has managed to continuously inspire hope (if only to ultimately thwart it) with every new installment, it’s been Transformers. Here’s hoping that if Dinobots and Galvitron and Unicron and Nemesis Prime are all on the way, Bay at least does them right (fingers crossed).

[h=1]New TRANSFORMERS 4 Logo With Dinobot Claw Marks! First Look At Kelsey Grammer[/h]
[h=2]A crew member was recently spotted wearing a baseball cap with a new Transformers 4 logo on it. What makes it so interesting, is that it has claw marks on it. Adding even more evidence that Dinobots will be the Michael Bay film.[/h]

The website, Seibertron has posted images of a Transformer 4 crew member wearing a hat with a new colorized version of the "TF4" logo, but this one has claw marks upon it. After a call sheet and a toy document have surfaced there really is no doubt in anyone's mind that the claw marks are representing the inclusion of Dinobots.

Also, we got our first look at actors, Kelsey Grammer and Victoria Summers, on the set. They were spotted filming at Chicago's Millenium Park.

[h=1]‘Transformers 4′: Possible Subtitle Revealed? Dinobots Confirmed?[/h]

Transformers 4has been surrounded in secrecy during its production. Director Michael Bay returned to the franchise in order to launch a new (semi-rebooting) chapter of the Transformers saga, which he will then (allegedly) pass off to a new director and creative team. So far we have new human characters in the form of Mark Wahlberg’s gear-head/inventor character, Flynn Vincent; Flynn’s hot rod enthusiast daughter played by Nicola Peltz (Bates Motel) and her speed-racing love interest played by Jack Reynor (What Richard Did). We also know that in addition to returning favorites like Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, the actual Transformers might see new additions like Slingshot and Drift, Hound – possibly even Nemesis Prime or Ultra Magnus.

But what about those lingering rumors that the fan-favorite Dinobots could be in TF4 - and what is the official subtitle to this fourth film? Today’s update may help answer questions on both those fronts.

Over the weekend, Fusible picked up on a story involving the brand protection agency that oversaw the registration of the domain name TransformersDarkoftheMoon.com when the third film was released. The studio is allegedly once again registering various domain names in anticipation of the Transformers 4‘s release next summer, with the following candidates being listed by Fusible:

  • TransformersApocalypse.com
  • TransformersLastStand.com
HOWEVER, Transformers World 2005 also makes the claim that the following subtitle has ALSO been registered with Hasbro:

  • Transformers: Age of Extinction

Of the the three, I personally find “Age of Extinction” to be the most likely. The fact that Bay has repeatedly made it clear that TF4 is a new beginning makes “Apocalypse” or “Last Stand” feel a bit off the mark – with “Last Stand” seeming particularly troublesome, given its proximity to that similarly-titled Arnold Schwarzenegger comeback vehicle that flopped at the box office early this year. Of course, there is another factor to consider: The Dinobots.

We’ve heard continued rumors and speculation that the Dinobots will make a major appearance in TF4 - and producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura recently added major fuel to that fire when he told Beijing News the following when discussing China’s role in the movie:

“I can not disclose the specifics, but you can be sure that the joining of the Dinobots will give the audience new excitement. In addition to Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, the appearance of these classic roles changed, today the world’s coolest, most exciting cars will appear in the film, including China’s vehicles, whether you are a car enthusiast, you will feast your eyes and be shocked by them.”

Is that confirmation that the Dinobots are in the film? Certainly sounds like it. Others are also pointing to some recent set photos (SEE them HERE) which have the production crew sporting hats with TF4 logos – logos which seem to have claw marks in them, presumably teasing the Dinobots’ appearance. Given all that evidence that Dinobots will be in the film – and leaked alleged plot spoilers that fit in line with the clues we’ve seen so far – it seems that “Age of Extinction” would be a most fitting title for two reasons:

  1. “Age of Extinction” could refer to a history involving the Dinobots (who would be resurrected from long dormancy or death).
  2. The subtitle could also refer to the rumored deaths/transformations that certain characters (like Megatron) could go through – a “changing of the guard” for the franchise.

Resident Evil
alreadyhas its “Apocalypse” and Schwarzenegger already has his “Last Stand” – so when the dust settles and official confirmation is out, don’t be surprised if “Transformers: Age of Extinction” is soon covering billboards and TV screens in your area.

Transformers 4 Title Revealed

Latest sequel officially titled Transformers: Age of Extinction.

UPDATE: Following today's title buzz, Paramount has revealed the official title for Transformers 4 in a new teaser poster. Michael Bay's latest sequel installment is now called Transformers: Age of Extinction. Check out the image below (via Yahoo! Movies):

"Age of Extinction," of course, strongly hints at Dinobots in the film, which adds further confirmation to producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura's quote from earlier today.

The original article follows below...

Has Michael Bay's Transformers 4 found its title?
According to Fusible, the same brand protection agency that registered TransformersDarkoftheMoon.com back in 2010 has now registered several new domain names that could be possible titles for T4. Right now, those domains include Transformers: Last Stand, Transformers: Apocalypse, and Transformers: Future Cast.

In other Transformers news, Deadline reports that four Chinese actors have apparently won roles in the film, via a reality competition show, as part of Paramount's cooperation agreement with China-based companies Jiaflix and the China Movie Channel. Byron Li, Austin Lin, Candice Zhao and Teresa Daley are said to have "small, if not extra roles" in the film described as "Kung Fu fighter," "sexy goddess," "computer geek" and "cute Loli."
Speaking of China, a new Chinese concept car was also spotted on the set of Transformers 4, a vehicle dubbed E-jet. TFW2005 speculates that the car could be a Cybertronian in disguise, given the fact that China plays a big part in the film and that it's a concept car.

Transformers 4 hits theaters on June 27, 2014.

[h=1]Dinobots Confirmed for Transformers 4[/h] [h=2]Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura reveals the big news.[/h]
It may surprise no one to learn that Dinobots will be making an appearance in Transformers 4. The news has been all but confirmed at this point, but producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura now seems to have put the final nail in that coffin.

"I can not disclose the specifics, but you can be sure that the arrival of the Dinobots will give the audience a lot to be excited about," the producer recently told Beijing News (via Empire). "The world's coolest, most exciting cars will appear in the film, including Chinese vehicles, so whether you are a car enthusiast or not, it will be a feast for the eyes."
It is important to note that the above quote was transcribed using Google Translate (via TFormers), so don't take this as 100% confirmation. Nevertheless, di Bonaventura's words certainly seem to indicate that Dinobots are a sure thing.

While no specific Dinobots were revealed, the traditional team includes Grimlock, Slag, Sludge, Snarl, Swoop and Paddles -- all of which are based on various dinosaurs.
Transformers 4 opens on June 27, 2014.

[h=1]Official ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ Image Shows Off Human Cast[/h]

Recently it was announced that the next film in the Transformers franchise would be called Transformers: Age of Extinction. It is set in the same universe as the previous Transformers films, but features a new human cast.

Michael Bay has taken to Twitter to give fans the behind the scenes treatment for his new film. Bay recently tweeted a new image from Transformers 4, featuring newcomers to the franchise Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Pelt (Bates Motel) and Jack Reynor (Dollhouse), who play Flynn Vincent (a gear-head inventor), his teenage daughter and her hot-rodding boyfriend, respectively.

The picture shows Wahlberg and his two young co-stars standing in front of what appears to be an abandoned gas station. Most of the film was shot in various locations in Texas, and it appears that this is one of the many scenes filmed in the Lone Star State. Is the positioning and body language of the actors meant to hint at what their personalities and relationships could be in the film? Take a look and decide for yourself:
-CLICK FOR FULL SIZED VERSION-
With fresh new faces to the series, the addition of great actors such as Stanley Tucci and Kelsey Grammer, and the likely inclusion of the Dinobots, Transformers 4 could be just what the series needs to distinguish itself from the other two sequels, Revenge of the Fallen and Dark of the Moon.

Bay has said that this film will be a semi-reboot of the series, and the rumored storyline for the film is pretty epic in nature (if it turns out to be true). With so much fresh potential on their hands, hopefully Wahlberg, Bay and Co. can recapture some of magic that the first Transformers had.

[h=1]‘Transformers 4′: New Optimus Prime Robot Design Revealed?[/h]

The 2013 New York Comic Con kicks off this weekend, and we were fortunate enough to be invited to check out some of Hasbro’s upcoming toy lines. Though there were many fun things on display at the unveiling event, the biggest feature was no doubt the first entry from the Transformers: Age of Extinction line, which was none other than Optimus Prime – a very different Optimus Prime than we’ve previously seen in Michael Bay’s Transformers movie saga.

Check out photos of the new Optimus Prime below (quality isn’t the best, we apologize):

As you can see from the photo of Optimus in vehicle mode, the design of the toy is very similar to official photos of the new customized truck that Bay is using for vehicle Optimus in the movie – meaning that for better or worse (you decide), that robot design is also pretty close to CGI robot character we’ll see in the movie. One notable accessory is the new sword and shield that Optimus uses; in vehicle mode they become a pretty sweet rear guard cannon. Definitely hope that’s featured in the movie.

New Optimus Prime Vehicle Mode

The design of the robot mode definitely showcases something of an anime influence; in fact, this new Optimus isn’t too far off from some of the anime-influenced design seen in the Transformers Prime cartoon series. One particular piece of artwork captures the new Prime’s likeness impeccably:

Click For Larger Version
Age of Extinction is all about new transformations (pun). We’ve discussed the reasoning why a number of times on our SR Underground podcast, and what it boils down to is that while the Transformers movie sequels have all done well at the box office, the accompanying toy lines have not been as fortunate. Since the first three films ostensibly recycled the same primary robot characters (with new additions here and there), the toy lines have been trying to sell similar action figures to a public that craves what’s new and different.

Galvatron on the way?

When looked at that way, it’s easy to see – from a marketing standpoint – why we’re getting a re-designed Optimus and possibly an changed Megatron (aka Galvatron) - and major new characters like Drift or The Dinobots as well. Even trusty old Bumblebee is getting a makeover, in order to help Hasbro and Bay (who collects on every toy sold) make a bigger profit. If we get an improved storyline and film along with that… cool.

-------------

Eww that thin optimus looks GROSS.

TRANSFORMERS 4: Director Michael Bay Gets Beaten Up In Hong Kong

The Director/Producer and explosion enthusiast, gets attacked by locals during filming of Transformers: Age Of Extinction. UPDATE: Paramount have released an official statement clarifying the situation..

Two brothers surnamed Mak, aged 27 and 28, approached Bay on the set during filming for the American science fiction film and the younger brother demanded payment of HK$100,000 ($12,900).

The main reason for this particular melee, as I did more research into this, was do to Bay closing a major street with restaurants and the like, and patrons and business owners being upset over the street closure.

As a discussion ensued, the elder Mak walked up and assaulted the director, the spokeswoman said. The elder brother then attacked three police officers who tried to intervene.

The younger brother was arrested on suspicion of blackmail and assault, while the elder Mak was also arrested on suspicion of assault.

Bay sustained injuries to the right side of his face, although he declined to seek treatment, the spokeswoman said, adding she did not believe his injuries were serious.

Filming continued after the dispute.

UPDATE:

“Contrary to several erroneous news reports made today, Bay did not get hurt in a fight on set,” said Paramount. “The production company did have a bizarre encounter with a man (allegedly under the influence of a narcotic substance) who was wielding an air conditioning unit as a weapon. The man, who had earlier accosted several other crew members, rushed onto the set in Quarry Bay and swung the air conditioning unit directly at Bay’s head. The director ducked and wrested the air conditioner from his attacker, preventing what could have been a serious accident. The company’s security team quickly stepped in and subdued the assault. The police, who also scuffled with the assailant and two of his companions, ultimately arrested the three men. No one on the cast or crew was injured and the production immediately resumed filming without further incident.”
