Attention gamers from Karachi...!!
A tournament of Super Street Fighter 4 here in karachi at saddar (Star City Shopping centre) is being arranged. Those who are interested should submit a registration fee of Rs.500 and will be given a t shirt of street fighter 4 (worth 500 Rs), matches will be best of three for each candidate... and the winner will get Rs.25000 as prize money.For details, call on: “0300-9231971” or email: [email protected]

well this is the same 20k tournament, which is going to be in two parts, because some of the players having exams and some of them are not able to attend on 24th, so there will be like two group, for example 20 matches will be played on 24th, and 10 winners will go to the next round and on 1st jan 2011 they will be waiting for new challengers, if there will no one to challenge,then they have to play with themself according to schedule.so it would be better to participate in 24th Dec 2010 so can get the point.the main reason for spliting this is that if some of the gamers wont make it on 24th so they could come in the second round and also the looser of first round can re register themselves.

Here's the detail that i got.

GAME MODE: Versus
COMPETITION METHOD: 1 vs. 1
ROUNDS: Best of 3 rounds
ROUND TIME: 99 seconds
FIGHTS: BEST OF 3
STAGE: Random
HANDICAP: Off
CHARACTER SELECTION: Only default characters

REGISTRATION FEES : Pak Rs 500 per player
PLATFORM: PLAYSTATION 3

OPEN
PRIZES - WINNER: Pak Rs 20000
PRIZES - RUNNER-UP: Pak Rs 5000

CHARACTER SELECTION:
The player must notify the referee of the characters that he/she will use before the match starts.
The player can only use the default characters.
The player may not change character after the match has started. The player can use any joypad or joystick.
Only default costumes must be used.

TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES:
Cheats, play exploits leading to unfair game automatically disqualifies the gamer.

In the event of a double KO, with the round tied at 2-1 = Best of 3, a knock of game will be played following the default game formats.

If the pause button is intentionally press during the fight (ruled out by the marshal) the gamer who initiated the action losses the round by default. The same applies if an intentional hardware reset occurs.

In the event of on game problems (power outage, hardware crash etc.) the current score for each gamer will be carry over to the restarted game.
The gamers must be aware that rules listed are mandated guidelines to ensure fair and competitive play. Each rules are subjected to interpretation by the event organizers.

^ but all characters are default per say in Super; Vanilla had locked characters. I bet they mean the 12 characters in Vanilla.

Also, no rule about changing your Ultra, another hint towards Vanilla.

I was there in WGC, and i was wiped out in 2009 but went to finals in 2010,thats why i take all the rules from that tournament.but i have changed it a lil.like players can bring their own 6 button Joypad or Joysticks as well.

Theres a slight change in rules, Character restrictions has been lifted.Akuma Seth Etc..are all acceptable in the Tournament.

It IS Super Street Fighter IV, not vanilla. Got an e-mail with an elaboration on the rules. Also, characters and Ultras can be changed between games.

I know its Super. I'm saying that these rules are copied from WGC where they were stupid, but they make sense now because there's no unlocking bs.

I took part in 2009 too, got wiped. Didn't take part in 2010. My friend tells me the players weren't that hot in 2009 and I could've won in 2010, but the no stick availability and amateurish organisation of 2009 turned me off.
