• 25th of January, 2015 for 10 additional episodes on top of the two-part Patagonia Special which aired in December of 2014.
• If the Patagonia Special is included in the episode count, series 22 is the longest series of Top Gear ever with 12 episodes airing in total.
• Filming of the series has been conducted in countries spanning a total of six continents, including North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia/Oceania.

The preview was fantastic. They should so this for every series now. The new series looks promising and the biggest in terms of scale compared to older series. Really looking forward to the Australian road trip that they take.

TOP GEAR BBC SEASON 22 :: Starting 25th Jan 2015

Saw the first episode. It's a great start to the new season. They did a recreation of the inner city race that was carried out in London. Only this time it took place St Petersburg in Russia. James May went with a really small Renault, Hammond on a bike that was more expensive than the car and Clarkson's on a "hovervan". They even properly reviewed the huracan and according to tradition Hammond carried out the review.
The episode had two brilliant moments. Clarkson got something off from his chest about the incident that took place in Patagonia special. The way he said just cracked me up. Also the rage that Hammond had riding the bike was fantastic.

Next week they are doing the Australian road trip episode. That is going to be epic because it's the first time they take such expensive cars to a road trip that's this raw.

LOL yeah he has been screwing up a lot recently. He even crashed that gorgeous f type in the road trip special. He's screw ups aside its quite impressive to see that he can still ride the bike for that long.

I had my enthusiasm up high for first episode, and it didn't disappoint. From the initial trailer for 'whats upcoming' in Series 22, what i want to see the most, is Capt. Slow reviewing LaFerrari (The Ferrari TheFerrari -_-) - now Thats going to be really really interesting

Anyway, the 1st episode, had its fair share of awesome things. So glad to see that the famous Top Gear humor still persists, and makes you laugh hard. 'Your chap', "Burn a Bus", 'The News'. I also like the fact that The Stig is now making more comedic appearance and is amazingly brilliant at it.

About the Huracan's review ... i only like the name which gives you a punchy feeling. Other than that, Lambos aren't really my thing. Also, did any of you notice the huge Cinema bars for that review? Was that intentional? I guess they were, since the Lamborghini Montage of Hammond used full screen. I hope they don't do that again, because it looks just STUPID.

About Hammond's Bicycle accident, that felt extremely familiar. Reminded me how i almost fell off from motorcycle at high speeds. Except, for me it wasn't "Tram Lines", but the stupid Road Divider, which had become shallow due to dust cleaned off from the center, which made that divider more like the insider of those Tram Lines where a tyre could get stuck easily. The fall in this instance is hardcore. So i kinda share the pain Hammond must have gone through

Anyway, the end of the race ... "Look behind you". Yeah, they had me going Deeply entertaining, and just awesome to see these blokes back. Hopes are high for next episode.

Yeah the cinema bars were deliberate. Maybe the give the review an unreal feel you know like a film. I really like the huracan because it's the first time that a car by Lamborghini makes sense. It's so smooth because of the dual clutch transmission. All the lamborghinis before this were all very jerky.

And yea I liked the new season alot . What's even more awesome is that they are airing it around the world but I don't think they are airing it via iPlayer ? I believe they are airing it through their channel i.e BBC worldwide so for us unfortunate ones here ,we'll still have to rely on onlinestreaming/downloading the episode sadly .

It would air at 2:30 am and its only for 1 hour.I think where people afford to lpse their sleep for a 90+ minute football.match,they can watch a 1 hour tv show as well

Second episode out. It was a really great episode. For the first time all three hosts got the latest cars and abused them till the edge.
I fell in love with that yellow Bentley.

+ Initiation of Launch Control of BMW. It was actually hilarious to see how complicated it was in BMW, and complete opposite in Nissan.
+ Hammond's "Missed Opportunity". lol. I didn't get it at first, but then it finally stuck me what he was talking about.
+ Cheating Capt Slow. That made me burst into tremendous laughs. Seeing Hammond and Clarkson's reactions throughout.

Lastly, those F*CKING CINEMA BARS? WHAT THE FUCKKK? They are getting bigger and bigger :S I have Season 21, 20 and 19 as well ... and they were a rarity int hem. But now, they are like, abusing them :S Its making me MAD <_<

They weren't there throughout the episode. The bars were only brought in when critical moments were happening like when the helicopters arrived.

Well thats what i am trying to say. They are now using these bars more often. Not sure what is the meaning behind this. :S This ruins the watching experience. If i wanted huge cinema bars, i would watch a movie, not top gear <_<

ALL of them. Well, maybe not the BMW. GTR can't be disliked. But what dazzled me the most, is the Bentley. Remember that Rally Race by Capt.Slow in Series 19 or 20? For a car which weighs more than 2 tons, its a spectacular experience to watch it go like that. Not to mention, drag race pull, and especially the braking performance.

Rest, all these "Grand Tourer" cars seemed very reliable. Soaked the punishment very well. We are all familiar with the Dust in Pakistan, haven't we

The Bentley was just perfect. It looked fantastic and had the best performance. It was even super comfortable because the camera was jerking around the least in it.
Yeah the rally race was awesome. Also the Bentley was really good on that snow race they did with it.

You can't really expect much from BBC, they usually have a ridiculous budget and don't mind shelling it out on over-the-top production values and flashy cinematography.
