Is there any way out yet to play the latest games without the latest LT firmware?I have recently come to Canada so i literally don't know anyone who mods over here.Is there any way out yet?

Howdy all! So it's like this, me: complete noob at this xbox 360 modding-ish thingy; actually I'm planning on buying one. But there're some things I need to ask & I'd really really appreciate if anyone here could help me out.
So, here're some Qs I need As to...:
1. I don't plan on using xbox live. I just wanna get the console, buy some games from the market(obviously pirated), and play 'em all offline. Would I need to have the console flashed or modded in any way? If not, fine. In this case, would all new games work AND would I be able to copy them onto the onboard harddrive?
2. If I do need to get it flashed/modded, then where in Rawalpindi/Isloo would I be able to have it done? And I've already read this section (not too closely though) http://www.pakgamers.com/forums/f44/xbox-360-firmware-thread-ixtreme-25339/ but the mosses and fuggy links don't work.
3. Got my eyes on Jasper 120 GB version. Any idea on the price? Also, which one should I get PAL or NTSC? And from where in Isloo/ Pindi? (I mean it's all down to which version's games are more readilly available...)
4. Do some games require you to be online and logged in, even when you're playing single player campaign? There isn't some stupid clause to have an ID and log in to play the game or record your ingame progress or save games is there?
Look, I know this is all covered in some thread somewhere, but it'd be nice if sm1 tells me, or atleast points me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

1) To play all old and latest games, you'll need to get your console flashed with LT+. Its necessary otherwise pirated games won't work. You will be able to copy the games on HDD, but the DVD must still be in the drive for the games to work from the HDD. Bummer
2) Can't help you there since I am in Karachi.
3) Price of that model might be around 23-24K (due to HDD). You should get either "PAL" or "NTSC-U", not "NTSC-J". Games are region-free nowadays so games of either region will most probably work on all three consoles. In rare cases, some games don't come on "NTSC-J". That is why that region is the worst.

I recently bought a 360. I m living in a hostel.I want to connect 360 to my monitor but the device which i bought dany u1050 does not support 720p. I want to ask if dany's hdtv devices would work as they claim to support upto 1080p. I also looked on net people talking about x2vga device but it is not available in pakistan what should i do.Please help me.

salamz all, i am completely unaware of the console terminologies therefore i tried to educated myself but could find any answer.
i have xbox360 i know its jasper. i had it mod from sadar karachi now i have to play a dvd before playing the actual game everytime. its been a while since some dvds started to give me messages like clean the lense and put the cd again. etc... older and other dvds are working fine but its only with specific games like modren warfare 2 i got 3 different dvds with same error now i am sick of it i was even planning to sell my console because of this. please guide me. is there a new mod available or am i playing the wrong dvds ..also one dvd made the update and the whole look of software is changed, now my home screen is different with only 60 mb or somthing left.. can i undo that thing? i dont have a hard drive..plz guide thanks

Why are Xbox Live features disabled? Can anybody give some insight on this please I am worried.

I have heard that it is now unplayable in countries which do not support handful of third world countries not recognized by Sony like Pakistan. Steam is a true global platform.Then they cry that console gaming is dying. -
