follow this method.

when you installed freestyle it asks where you want the index file stored,you must choose usb.

plug your external hard drive into the pc. there's a folder called FSD indexer. click on the program in that folder and select your ext hard drive from the drop down menu in usb options. click ok. then select get data for all games and it will download them. make sure to press save content.xml when it is finished then exit and the icons should load up next time you start.

FSD indexer is in your Freestyle Dashboard folder.

What does it mean ?

It means the software you are trying to download has been compiled with the official Microsoft® SDK (System Development Kit) for Xbox.
This compiler is only available to Microsoft approved programmers and can not be used to build 'homebrew software'.
That's what makes the software you want to download 'illegal' (not in our eyes - as the software itself has completely been written by the programmer - but in the eyes of the law it is illegal).
You can often find these programs on irc channels or newsgroups - we can't help you to find them , so please don't mail us about

well for some reason only the games in the xbox hdd show not those games which are on the usb drive , do i have to make a directory called games in the usb drive and then copy all the games there . kindly make a sticky so all j-tag users can get help .
also the 1s time i started the free stlye dash it asked if u wana install hdd or usb , by accident i did hdd , so what can i do know to get all game pics / movies etc .

the 1st time by accident i selected the xbox hdd , now what do i do , , the option mentioned above does not show any more , can i delete it from the xbox hdd if so how and which option do i use , common sheraz bhai help out

You have to delete FSD from hdd after that you should also delete config.xml and content.xml from the hdd in fsdata folder.Then it should work.

Yes.

yes, you can use USB flash drive on FSD.

It's just a way of launching it,it doesnt have any proper functionality but it can boot surreal64 but only some roms can be played and can't play any video files either only pics and music for now.

The xbox emu was properly hacked a couple of years ago but was only of use on dev kits and was never publically released..until now..

Xbox1 Backwards Compatibility v5829 for Devkits
HACKED VERSION!!

:: Overview
This is a devkit version of the retail xbox360 backwards compatibility that
was released November 2007.

To install this, copy the Compatibilty folder to your devkits Y drive.
You may want to remove any existing files, although this should overwrite
all files.

This version has been hacked to play unsupported games, however this doesn't
mean they will work. This release includes a hacked version of the official
frontend, however you may want to try my replacement frontend which allows
you to set emulation options for each game.

At the moment there are 556 officially supported games, (ie games that should work
100% or close to it). A list of these games is available here:

:: Hacks
I've attempted to remove any limits on the emulator, although i left in game
ratings checks in case you dont want your little ones to play violent games
This can be toggled in the dashboard anyway. The following hacks were done to
the emulator:

* Xbe signature checks removed (lets you run unsigned code)
* Xbe section hash checks removed (lets u run hacked xbes)
* Game region checks removed (region free baby!)
* Game media checks removed (play games from your hard drive)
* Debug/Devkit xbes supported (run your own xbox1 code)
* Attempt to play unsupported games (doesn't mean it will work hehe)

And yes it will play all your old xbox 1 back ups on discs

Copy it into your "Partition 2", the partition that contains only two folders, one of which is the Compatibility folder.

ok i got the fsd index to work , got the box art pics etc , but not geting the preview videos - though its selected in the setings screen . sheraz bhai how are u geting videos , i just get pics displayed .

That's great now just wait for 5 minutes because i have to take some screenshots so that you can easily understand where to put videos.

Simply rename your Video to preview.wmv and put it into your hdd:fsdata\artwork\YOURGAMEFOLDER (UP to your freestyle folder location, so hdd1 or usb drive), if your all games are on usb then insert videos on usb, just look at the screenshots.

you have to download videos because FSindexer is only for images.

Woah Woah Woah! Hold on there? You guys mean to say that the homebrew supports emulators as well ? I so want this thing. And SHERAZ bhai, any possibility for Wii emulator to work on it?
