Tell me that you miss Aero theme as me. :p
Deep down, yes. But not badly, or as much that i would want to have it on Windows 8. However, all i am talking about "Animations". Windows 7's animations can barely be compared with 8's. 8 is much smoother.

Is it low end systen friendly like Win 8?
Its taking Windows 8's concept forward, so i am pretty sure YES.

That reminds me the time i installed Ubuntu 12 (i think it was 12 ^_^), it had awesome animation, when i dragged windows around, it would stretch like an Egg yolk. :tv:
Actually interesting you say that. Because Linux platform is still miles ahead in terms of customization. No wonder OSX has such majestic animations :D

Well, actually Microsoft has bumped micro version of kernel version to 6.4.xxxx but it will be still based on Windows 8 kernel, lets see what new and improved it has.

Windows 8.1 was a big disappointment. It was definitely an improvement over 8, and to some extent over 7 as well. But it didn't do enough. Even though "startisback" took care most of the annoyances and gripes I've had with 8.1, there were still too many quirks & issues that remains to be ironed out.

Windows 9 better be a damn improvement over 8.1, otherwise people will most probably begin their mass exodus towards apple, if they mess this up.

They should make themes like Business,Gaming,Natural etc . You know so you get the feeling that you spent $1000 on something worth it

Why did you guys like the Aero Theme? It was a performance killer, which is why it was removed from the final build of Windows 8. More the cosmetics, the more the performance goes away.

^ Agree. I disliked aero as it was a resource hog. Also, i m a fan of simple themes. Windows 8.1 theme is near perfect for me.

It was tipped to Neowin a few weeks back that partners were starting to get more recent builds of Threshold and we have been able to confirm that this is true. But, if you are thinking that this will mean a leak soon, don't get too excited as there are many security features in place to discourage these groups from letting anyone see the contents. On top of this, not all features are enabled in these builds.
Windows Threshold: Partners get access to the builds - Neowin

If you disliked Aero because it was a 'performanace killer' then you were not aware of the fact that you could disable it as well.

My point is simple. If someone has the horse power to handle intense graphic work, high-end animations etc ... then he should be given this option. Those who don't, should have the option to tweak/dumb it down to minimal level.
