it's.............

ZANGIEF CHRONICLES!

http://www.zangiefchronicles.com/Z/

synopsis:

"Zangief battled many enemies in his life before Street Fighter II. All have fallen beneath lumbering boots of Zangief at one time or another. But sometimes, there is battle that even Zangief cannot win. One that doesn't take place in frozen tundras against polar bears. Zangief speak of greater struggle. A struggle that lives not in physical world, but in human heart. This is Zangief Chronicles."

The Street Fighter 4 Collector's Edition Box Sets:

contents include:
1. The game (duh)
2. A limited-edition (ie., not sold anywhere else) figurine – Ryu in the PS3 box, C. Viper hotness in the 360 flavor. Decisions, decisions…
3. Street Fighter IV: The Ties That Bind: a 65 minute anime movie — created by Studio 4C — that sets up the story of SFIV by explaining events post-SFII. BluRay disc in the PS3 box! The Xbox version is a 360 game disc that outputs the movie at 720P, not a DVD.
4. A mini-strategy guide from Prima, written by the same people doing the full-on guide and illustrated by Udon Comics
5. CD soundtrack. Rock SFIV stage chunez in your car!
6. …Plus some secret additional downloadable content that we’re not quite ready to reveal at this point. Look for more announcements soon!

Team PlayStation wins the Street Fighter challenge

source: ps3fanboy (where else!?)

Who's better at Street Fighter? Well, from a very limited sample of people that could make it to Capcom's brawl at CES in Las Vegas this year, we can conclude that PlayStation fans are the Street Fighting champs. Team PlayStation was represented by Joe C., who uppercutted Major Nelson's representative, Josh, to victory. Professor PlayStation (Jeff Rubenstein) awarded him a Star Wars Battlefront PSP and a chance to get obliterated by Street Fighter legend Justin Wong.

Kudos to all that participated. As PS3 fans, we have to thank Joe for representing PlayStation and showing Xbox gamers all over the world that we're a force to be reckoned with. At least in Street Fighter.
that settles that, i guess! :)

Mad Catz claims big demand for FightStick

source: eurogamer

Peripheral manufacturer Mad Catz has said it will struggle to meet UK demand for the official FightStick: Tournament Edition for Street Fighter IV.

In a statement issued yesterday evening, the firm said it would be "working hard to meet day one shipments" but "can not guarantee that every customer wishing to purchase this premium product will be able to...on the first day of release".

Instead, Mad Catz is advising UK gamers to keep their eyes on its online store this afternoon when it will be taking "strictly limited pre-orders". "Orders on the store will be fulfilled strictly on a first come first serve basis and will only be available for purchase and delivery to mainland UK customers," it said.

The FightStick: Tournament Edition, a regular FightStick and a range of SF IV-themed FightPads with arcade-style button arrangements are due out at the game's launch on 20th February for PS3 and Xbox 360.
Mad Catz Street Fighter IV Controller prices:

Tournament Stick - wired: $150
Standard (white) Stick - wired: $70 on PS3, $80 on Xbox 360
Fight Pad - only wireless on PS3: $40

on that subject, what would you guys prefer to play sf4 (or any other 2d fighter) with? gamepad of arcade-style joystick?

i prefer the gamepad myself. i like the comfy feel of laying back and pulling off those supers!

Now that's what I called perparing before hand !! I am so gonna try it out . Button Mashing doesn't work with your everyday controllers (especially 360 one) !! $40 is equal to Rs.3200 so it's not that expensive . is it meant only for Street Fighter Series or for other games as well !!

New Street Fighter IV trailer looks awesome, sounds not awesome

Capcom, we need to talk -- or rather, you need to talk less. You see, we were watching the new Street Fighter IV trailer and, beautiful though it may be, we had to mute it halfway through. The video, which highlights each of the game's characters, has some pretty cornball material -- we're talking laughing at, not laughing with.
yes i know, i know, this is a bump!

but do check the video out at the source, i couldn't get it embedded.

A look at SF4's console goodies

courtesy: egm via 1up

In addition to the basic features -- such as Versus and Training modes -- that we've come to expect from arcade-to-home fighting-game ports, SF4 carries plenty of other console-exclusive modes and features that, while not new to the genre, make their first appearance in the world of Street Fighter.

Challenge mode
SF4 essentially breaks down the challenge mode into three main categories -- Time Attack, Survival, and Trial. It then separates each of these categories into two difficulty levels, normal and hard -- each setting has its own number of challenges. When you complete the individual challenges on either difficulty setting, you unlock rewards that range from extra colors and actions for each character to titles and icons that you can display with your player profile in online matches.
Of course, the Time Attack and Survival modes are pretty self-explanatory (you earn extra time based on your performance in the Time Attack mode -- or, in the case of Survival mode, health). But the Trial mode's pretty interesting -- it actually teaches you to play SF4 by making you complete specific combos for each character. A challenge with Blanka asks you to jump in with a heavy kick, follow it up with a crouching medium kick and a light punch, and then finish it up with a heavy rolling attack. This mode's a great way for newcomers to learn how to play effectively.

Online play
While we'll reserve judgment on how well online gameplay functions until the game's been out for a while, it's clear that SF4 offers a surprising number of network options. You set the desired round length or the search priority to find stable matches or fights that match your skill level -- or higher. You can even set language priority to search for games in one of several languages, including Italian, Japanese, and Korean.

Training Mode
While the challenge mode's Trial option seems like a better way to really learn how to use a character, SF4 still offers a basic training mode to help you test out what you've learned. Similar to other modes of its type, you can change what the opposing character's doing -- make 'em crouch to test low-hit moves or jump when you're curious about your aerial skills. You can also customize things like blocking, stuns, attack data, and the difficulty level of a computer-controlled sparring partner.

Gallery
Obviously, the idea of a gallery isn't new, but since SF4's the only Street Fighter game to date that offers both an animated intro and ending sequences for every character, it's an easy way to jump in and check 'em all out right away after you've unlocked them. The gallery mode also offers plenty of artwork to unlock and check out as well.

Did y'all see the new Assassin's Creed trailer? They finally made a AC set in Japan & then they put a negro as the male protagonist. Ubisoft is taking cues from Disney, and it isn't gonna end well for them, just like Disney. Go woke, go broke!
