My cable provider is offering a HD box! He said it costs 6k and he'll get it by 5th of this month and I'll have to pay 600 every month. He also promises that it will have 200+ channels and a lot of em will be HD (Which I'm pretty much sure is SD but better than Cable itself) Should I go for this? Anybody else got this offer?

Nope I am using Videocon HD for the past 3 years .. and never looked back .. 1200Rs. Per month though

I don't really wanna pay 1200 for Indian Channels! I barely watch the television anyway and I just want some English movie channels in HD

We might have the same thing But mine is charging me twice than yours?

Sorry for such a late rep. Bro the quality is 1080i not 1080p. Also, there are so many issues with it... Too many times it has stopped working. I won't recommend you going for such desi cable.

I am already using videocon HD and its awesome Will order a PTCL Smart TV soon for my other TV and compare the quality ... and yes its 1080i and not 1080p ... but still the quality is awesome

What is the price of Digital Set Top Box offer by Cable Walas?

Dear All,

Just wanted a heads up, what is the price of Digital Set Top Box being offered by Local Cable walas accross Karachi?

My cable wala is offering it for Rs 8000 / box which I think is a bit expensive whereas PEMRA says it should be around 5000 Rs.. What do you all thinks, is he scamming me? because the box has no brand on it.. Check the picture below

Very high quality SD channels and some HD channels aswell..

Is the current infrastructure of cable network capable of providing HD channels? They can't even provide all SD channels in clearly.
