LOLZ. You got your Slim hacked by loosing your original Dvd Drive and shopkeeper replaced it with another dvd drive...And people who are waiting for LT+ are the one having original DVD drives.
@HDD: 120GB Western Digital BEVT is fine as I've seen many people using it with their 360. (Not Slim but Fat one )
Also if answer to your questions aren't stated at first page then you should feel free to ask any question regarding 360 Slim.

Is that bad? I mean will that affect me in any way later on? Personally i don't care if the drive was replaced as long as it is playing all the current games... i couldn't claim warranty anyways... but if there are more serious after-effects, let me know what i should watch out for. It seems to be so far so good.

I can't seem to find 120GB WD drive in the market, infact i cant find a 250GB WD drive either... bummer...

Yes you won't be able to get your Slim hacked with LT+ unless you find the same model drive you had in your Slim before the spoofing.

ok thanks for the info... in that case i hope it is a soft-mod or that the drive was not exchanged... i know little about hacking these... it seems like possibly my drive was exchanged though i havent opened it up or anything, how can i confirm it? i mean if i open it up, what should i be looking for? I have got all games running including AC: Brotherhood... does that mean anything?

My xbox is a June 2010 manufacturing date... thanks for all the help guys, i appreciate it.

You can't use the soft mod on the Slim currently. So if you are running pirated games on the Slim consoles, then its 100% spoofed, and they changed your drives. LT+ for Slim isn't out yet, but we know that if you have a spoofed X360, you won't be able to hack it with LT+.

If its June 2010, then its most probably the 9504 Slim Liteon.

Shary... thanks for sharing that info... it's a big help! i wish i had known before purchase about do's and dont's and i would have acted likewise... but it seems like i have about 12 games all function properly... i don't go online and i don't care about the online part... so instead of asking you for all the info, is there some link or website where i can read about the disadvantages of having a spoofed drive? I mean to also ask that if i wont be able to use LT+, what does that mean? because i'm able to play pirated games so should it matter?

Thanks in advance buddy... with the info you share i may be able to get hold of the shop-keeper and ask to get the original drive (if possible) later... if really needed.

There are three:

You will get banned if you go online.
You can't play new AP2.5 protected games if you have a spoofed SLIM X360.
You won't be able to get it hacked via LT+, so definitely no new games will run on it.

Need some help on the new 360 4GB Slim ?!?

Hi there,

I’ll have my new 4GB slim console with me in two days from abroad. So a few days ago I went to some local dealers and asked them for modification but no one was able to tell me exactly anything about it. They don’t even know which type they do but just tell you the rates

So I have a couple of questions that I hope someone could answer :|

1. what is the diference b/w hardmod and softmod exactly..as I’ve come to know that the new consoles in local markets are so far hard modified (i.e. ROMs replaced as they say)
2. which modification is better in type and what is the expected rate of getting a softmod as in local market it ranges from 2k-9k (I’m amazed)
3. which is the best place to get the console modified in rwp/isb (with reasonable rates)? Any one you know?
4. how can I add more hard disk space to my console. Is it true that a simple USB external HDD can be connected?
5. and finally if I don’t get my console modified then which is the best place in rwp/isb to buy original cheap DVDs. Is there any place from where I can rent?

Hard mod is called "spoofing" in which they replace your DVD Drive (which is unable to read pirated DVDs) with an already hacked drive (which can run and play pirated DVDs). Problem with this type of flashing is that you won't be able to play new games such as Assassins Creed: Brotherhood, COD: BO, etc.

Soft mod is called flashing. The hack is called LT+ (which is not out for Slim Xboxes yet). Thats why the ones you saw in the market are hard modded, since the hack for Slims isn't out yet, and might not be out till a month or so depending on the type of DVD drive you have.

Soft mod is better since it'll allow you to play on Live stealthily, whereas spoofing (hard modding) will cause you to be banned from online play on an Xbox forever.

Spoofing rates are around 2000 RS per Xbox. LT+ hacking (when released) might be for 1000 RS or 2000 RS depending on the difficulty to perform the hack.


There is an enclosure on an Xbox Slim on the right hand vent of the Xbox. All you need to do is to press the springy button and the cover pops out. In there, you can insert a flashed Western Digital 250 GB BEVT drives, and it'll read them properly, which'll cost you around 5K RS. Whereas if you buy an official drive from Microsoft (available on PG store), you'll have to spend around 8-9K RS for it.

A USB can be inserted, and an Xbox will read it. But the problem is that no matter what size the USB drive has, the Xbox will only read 16 GB of it There is no modification to increase this reading limit either (MS will lose all its Hard Disk selling business if they allow more than 16 GB reading limit).

I have a spoofed Xbox Slim and i'm playing AC: Brotherhood without any issues...

The beauty of the hacking scene is that I'm certain that when the time comes, there will be some way to play newer games on a spoofed Slim... the chances of that are about as likely as the chances that all future XBox consoles will be hacked. Anyhow, so far so good.
