Hey guys. Got flash fibre and trying to bridge, just so frustrating. I have a zte f670l router. I want to bridge it to my Asus router. I already have my cat 6 network in place, cameras etc etc. I got PPPoE username and password.

Creating new WAN connection, of course only shows routing, no bridging.




Through inspect (from what I saw elsewhere). I change it to bridge, I get the option.




It does apply, says data stored. However if I go to a different menu and come back it reverts back to Routing.



Am I doing something wrong? Or is this just a hopeless case for this router?

Alternatively if I cant get the bridge thing to work, if I just connect the router as a secondary one, any major drawbacks?

Port binding I did to lan 1.

In my Asus router all I did was PPPoE and put the username and password. MTU was already 1492. No need to add vlan ID .

And this thread is appropriately named, same old BS indeed. The password they gave me for PPPoE was wrong. I tried ptcl which some suggested here and that worked.

Look at my cost of 50Mbps = 5673rs.... While on website price is "5,295rs"..... Govt has reduced tax on internet but PTCL increased package cost to keep internet prices Same... This is another form of stealing


So this is how ptcl is calculating my bill while writing other shits like tv charges and then giving me discount lol...
5673rs (50Mbps) + 300rs (tv device installment) + 991rs (Service Tax) + 662rs (W.H.Tax) + 4rs (Arrears)
Note how funny it is that i have 2rs credit and 4rs arrear.

Bro I will suggest you check the price again with ptcl office
They have a habit of over charging
Example
You got 50mb for let say 6000
But now it's 5500 they will keep on charging you 6000 so what you have to do is go to there office and ask them to upgrade your package to that same price they are offering now

Exactly. It benefits PTCL that people don't complain to them and that they keep overcharging. Most companies engage in these unethical practices; don't expect companies to look out for you - you should look out for yourselves.

Shop around, be vigilant, and take action.

If you take care of your belongings in the public, take care of your money as well. You don't expect a mugger on the road to say "here, I only want 1,000 rupees; no more. I'm being an ethical thief", do you?

Then don't expect companies to give you back your money unless you tell them that they're overcharging you. Simple as that.

Recently I saw my friend internet bill he have

12 MBS connection they were charging him 3800

Which is the same amount they were charging now for 20mbps which is still 400 less than what he is paying SAME BS

You have to fight for your rights; they won't. Otherwise switch to the competition.

Anybody knows the price for 20mb flash fiber package with only phone no smart tv including taxes? I called 1218 three times and all the time I got a different rate. 2250, 3299, 3500. The local lineman insists its 2550 btw.

I've also heard PTCL is removing old telephone lines so if you aren't installing a flashfiber then they will remove ur old landline connection. Is that true?

That's without taxes. As for taxes, depends on the city - they differ if you're in Islamabad, Punjab or somewhere else (not significantly, but they do). But see here: Taxes Applicable on PTCL Services

What? I thought Smart TV was free from 20Mbps above plans? I am not sure why are they charging you 540 for it. TBH, you should go with IPTV , I pay 300 per month and I get all the channels with HD quality

PTCL rep said that I willl get 3100 Bill for it and I will be paying 2680 to Nayatel.

My question is can I use a load balancer to combine both internet and use just one WIFI ? Can someone suggest me a good load balancer ?
I have gone through the reviews for R480T+ TP LINK , didnt really understand the usage. Setting it up is easy. Has anyone got any experience regarding this. Please assist me.

It is free. Look at the discount: the bundle is free TV and Freedom package: Rs. 540 + 250 = 790 = the discount amount (above Total Service Charges)

umm... I think you should have done your research on the load balancer BEFORE installing the VDSL lol.

Also, no PTCL fiber in your area? You could have had two fiber connections come in, and the latencies would have been lower.

Flash fiber is not available yet. It will be available soon though as per the line man.

I am fine with using it separetely but just thought to combine and just use one wifi on all the devices

Rs. 2399 is without tax, how can it be 2550 ? only 150 Tax lol

Guys i upgraded my package from 30mb to 100mb but still getting 30mb speed both up and down i called 1218 they yes you got 100mb don't know why I'm not getting 100mb then? Any idea
