Guys i upgraded my package from 30mb to 100mb but still getting 30mb speed both up and down i called 1218 they yes you got 100mb don't know why I'm not getting 100mb then? Any idea

Try restarting the router if you have not already.

Got upgraded to fiber yesterday talked to the lineman and installation guy asking for the 100 Mbps connection 3999 Pkr Deal they said its fine. Once everything got connected im only getting 50Mbps and now Ptcl on facebook is saying its impossible for me to get the 3999 100 Mbps deal its only for new connections.

Has anyone had this issue ?

dont talk to facebook people just call helpline. that deal is for existing customers too

Just called 1218 basically got told the same thing, not for existing customers only for new guess i will be downgrading to 40 Mbps not paying 6700-6800 for 50

i think you are getting bad customer service reps today, Alot of users have upgraded to PSL offer and this is the reply i got on Facebook

Hi, does ptcl flash fiber offer better latency vs vdsl?, i currently get 55ms ping in cs2 dubai server with vdsl in Sheikhupura with ptcls fast path enabled.

Fiber ALWAYS has the lowest latency amongst all mediums.

DSL can add anywhere between 10ms and 40ms (depending on fastpath and whatnot).
Wireless (4G) can add about 15ms instead (but I know you're not using wireless).
Wifi will probably add 1 or 2 ms extra (but that's not the point of your post).

So you should get at least 10ms lower, and at most, 40ms lower.

Depends.

People around Pindi Isb get around 40ms.
People around Lahore, I'm guessing, would get around 35ms.
People around Karachi get around 20ms.

Contacting PTCL and explaining everything to them regarding IPs and routes would be a hassle and a long shot as they don't offer anything similar to Nayatel's Optimus unfortunately. Your best bet would be to use tools like Exitlag (cheapest), Lagofast, GearUP booster, etc.

Port binding I did to lan 1.

In my Asus router all I did was PPPoE and put the username and password. MTU was already 1492. No need to add vlan ID .

And this thread is appropriately named, same old BS indeed. The password they gave me for PPPoE was wrong. I tried ptcl which some suggested here and that worked.

Could you please share the speed test results after switching to Bridge Mode? I've heard that someone experienced a decrease in upload speed, only getting 10 Mbps instead of the expected full upload speed according to their package. Thanks!
