I live in Q block where there's no VDSL whereas P block which is on the other side of road has VDSL
I just hope they refund my installation fee because the people in exchange already had me sign the job completion form. I did inquire that why should i sign it when job is not even started yet, they said its for our sake and hamne konsa bhag jana hai etc so i signed it LOL

The website shows that my area exchange is upgraded which is why their rep at 1218 told me that i will get a VDSL connection but lineman and person at exchange said it will be ADSL.
Sorry for going off topic, any one from lahore knows what other options do i have for a better internet and TV? Actually i am on rent so fiber so a no as you never know when you have to change house.

Haven't used any of their DSL modems recently so I can't say.

There is no definitive 'best' modem, they all have pros and cons.

Has PTCL started automatically upgrading customers with old/discontinued packages to new ones? I was on 10Mbps (was getting 11248 Kbps) and now it's showing 14393 (my line doesn't support 15Mbps).

Edit 1: Internet troubles started, browsing is dead slow, stops every few mins. Backend issue or cable cut?

Guys while i am playing the tug of war with ptcl, just wanted to share that Stormfiber is offering fiber to home in lesser price than ptcl. 6000 installation with 1 month free, after second month, price for TV phone and 10mbps is 2000. Tv is analog tv so not digital but far better than your local cable tv.
Regarding the tug of war, they say my withdrawal request is not in system Even though one day before their own rep told me that you generated withdrawal request at 9:59 AM. I told them to check my call as it is recorded.

On a side note, i have made my mind that even if they do not return me installation fee, i will still get my connection closed because of their poor customer services and bad ADSL internet. I am ready to bear a loss of 3000 than have tension headaches every day.

Yes i am so pissed off at their customer support, every next rep says that there is no request in our system LOL. Today i am gonna call and tell them that calls are record so listen to that call of mine.

No I didnt get the UPS as I already have UPS at home.. I am using 15Mbps with 150Gb morning limit and unlimited from 6PM to 10AM
