Received the same message. However, I don't think I will be upgrading my connection to 25 MB though. 20 MB is more than enough for me. And they mess up a lot when they change ports. I am more than happy for SF reaching my area digging and deploying fiber, will be getting it as soon as they launch. Also PTCL will throttle like hell if they are increasing the packages, I wonder if they can cope up with the structure they have with the new packages. Pretty much speaks how they are scared of new fiber running ISP's.

I rang them up last night. They said the new rates are effective January 1, however, customers will have to call in to have their speeds upgraded (as in, no automatic upgrades). So - you might as well tell them to now, enjoy your upgraded speeds doe a few days, and then forget about it... Because PTCL won't upgrade your speeds unless you ask them (they'll upgrade the price though).

See how sneaky they are?

Also, you no longer have 50 free minutes to call cell phones from the landline after this price increase.

Fiberlink are the biggest scammers PERIOD. Don't go for it. Even if they install the connection either you won't get the full speed or your link will be down half the time. Trust me, it's not worth it.

Let's see what happens, I may go for it. Since they can only upgrade to 25 mb for those who only have VDSL.

Same here, SF is going to launch in my area with in one or two week and i am switching so dont care about PTCL shit.

fiberlink is available in my area since last 2 years but i never tried to get it due to bad reviews and long installation time.

today i installed new boradband ptcl 8mb @ 2100 6mb upgrade to 8mb till june 2019 @ 2100 per month package VDSL2 modem installed but in setting my line shows ADSL2+ thn i call today ptcl and said to them please change my connection from ADSL2+ to VDSL2 lets seee what will happen...

i know you all thing im crazy but my internet hasnt disconnected once since this(its been 5 days). although im not getting full 20mb speeds(only getting 15mbps but dont care much since its faster then 10) my pings have improved for some reason, i know ping has nothing to do with speeds but after the upgrade my ping on eu has gone down from 180 to 150 and on asia they have went down from 140 to 115 in fortnite.

Is your connection ADSL? That would explain the unstable speeds. I'm getting about 16Mbps at peak and 18Mbps otherwise on mine.

yea its adsl, i tried getting vdsl but it isnt available but lineman said gpon will be available in 2 months and with the new packages probably will downgrade to 15mbps

They just put msags on the base .They already complete underground piping work in most of the areas maybe maximumum 1 month they will take to make them online .

Yeah only GPON will be capable of 250 Mbps.
