Can't one go to court against this kind of bullshittery?
The effort and cost required to go to court for any of the stupid shit PTCL does is far more than just handling it personally. It's frustrating and very annoying, but let's see what happens.

The due date for the bill is sometime at the end of this month, if they don't get back to me by then, I'm not paying it.

A non paid bill for ptcl for 3 months will get you a court notice issued by ptcl legal team .better to get your things sorted out before that

I'm gonna go get myself a decent lawyer, terminate my PTCL connection and sue PTCL for millions.

Jk, don't have the time.

I have stumbled upon this billing issue in past from PTCL and I only had to pay one month's bill after disconnecting my line. As it turns out the PTCL bill cycle is like this. You get charged for services after a month. So in case you have terminated your connection in the middle of the current month, you will be paying for the last month's bill so there will be one more payment left to be made in respect of current month's bill. This how it's always been.

Just an FYI for everyone , i got my connection disconnected today. It was pretty easy.

1-) Returned the device + Charger
2-) 2 copies of my CNIC + 2 Copies of bill
3-) Payed the bill for 20 days on the spot(OCT)
4-) Talked with some agent on the phone who was convincing me not to switch for 5 mins (the stronger your reason for disconnection is the lesser the behas)
5-) Wrote a short application about disconnection
6-) Connection was terminated immediately and i was notified

So finally after almost 14 days the issue with my IPTV is resolved. I called everyone i possibly could and that helped. They had to send over the Huawei team (Vendor) to get it resolved. as per them PTCL had not tested the IPTV and it wasnt active for my area. They say since its a new area it wasnt active but when i told them it was working for the last 2 months they said bhai ap recording daikhrahay hongay and i was like LOL ulla samjha ha kya. They couldnt figure out how it was working for the last 2 months and went kaput now. Anyways its resolved. Though during all this time there reps did come visit me on daily basis and atleast attended to the issue which was supporting.

Yes i know it truly is but now i know who to approach in case something goes bad. Secondly i came to know that the area i live is sort of their main area with respect to the supply for the new islamabad airport so any type of downtime will be next to nil and its their priority to keep it up and running. 2 weeks back the fibre was cut from one place due to construction work. Their team came in like 30 mins and it was up and running in another 30mins. Though its very cumbersome to repair a fibre line.
