Called them up for slow service. They are denying there's any backend issue. The support guy had NO idea if there was an issue. According to him, it was an issue locally at my house. With both connections (yes, we have two PTCL connections) !!!!

Definitely looks like over subscription to me

Getting the same issue, seems like it's a localised issue in some places not a wide spread issue, maybe on exchange side. Getting the same replies from them.

It got better after complaining, sent them some tracerts, currently pings are okay.

Use 4.4.4.4 and 8.8.8.8 as your Primary and Secondary DNS. Enjoy YouTube without any plugins/proxy/softwares.

so i had a 2 mb connection for the last one year then all of a sudden a month ago they converted my package to 4mb and since then ptcl has been hell. continuous disconnections, slow download speed ,sometimes 1 or 2 (never 4). i m just fed up. called them a gazillion times and all they say is that ur prob would be solved in 24 hours n doing nothing.. here are my line stats.

Judging from those line parameters I would assume that you are using a PTCL copper line. Line parameters are usually much better on ONU that has a fiber optics link from exchange to your area and then copper line located over a small distance. Either way you need to either downgrade back to 2mbps or ask lineman to replace the whole wire and if that doesnt work either than apply for a fibre optics number if ONU is located nearby.

[MENTION=40825]RAJNI[/MENTION] actualy this is to attract new customers and 1750rs are only till july 2016, after that 2000rs pm will be charged.
My connection was 2mb (1549rs pm), it was converted to 4mb without any additional charges for 3 months. And now for this month they will charge 1749rs till july 2016.

my phone line is dead from last 2 months ad from last month i disconnected my internet but i am continously getting billed from last two months and even its showing my internet usage to be above 30gb where as i have returned the moden and my internet connection is disconnected from 2 months .exchange guys are idiot they are not listning now any body tell where is the appropriate place to complaint as 1218 is also saying contact your exchange
