Unfortunately thats the reality regarding PTCL. They don't even understand their normal customer base and requirements. Too busy counting money they get from selling corporate services.

I never used PTCL before joining them, and still game on a local ISP that uses TW at their backend. (lmao)

I wished I could get nayatel or my local ISP provider was good I have cable net in my area , but my ps4 doesnt work on it , I dont know why

Let me ask you guys who have fiber installed in your place after switching from copper line. I have my whole line on copper & my stats are excellent though I faced a lot of issues 2-3 days bak & I had to complain them for constant disconnections. Now the thing is I was told that I could change my line to fiber but my phone no. will be changed. Is this true???

Ask PTCL if you will receive the fiber to your home. Whenever PTCL says "your line is gonna be upgraded to fiber", what they usually mean is the line till their own box, not to your home. Fiber to home is really rare with PTCL. If they're saying your number will change, then it might.

Anyone have any idea why i am being connected to European servers and Asian servers randomly nowadays. I restart my modem 2 to 3 times and get connected from European to Asian servers where I get lower pings.

Yes ur number will be changed and fiber is till the cabinet and not till home but u can switch to VDSL and thats really stable with slightly more upload speed than ADSL.. u have to get 8Mbps connection for VDSL though

VDSL technology is different...u cannot get symmetric upload speed on that unfortunately

Anybody else having serious issues in Islamabad? My internet has been working great for the past year or so but since yesteday, it's being completely disconnected every now and then, as in, my access point just DISAPPEARS. Even during dota, I can hear and see my friends playing but randomly stop moving and commands don't register.

My stats are excellent btw. 20 snr & 6 on line attenuation. But I randomly keep disconnecting & have to reboot my router which is kind of annoying. I'm not a heavy streamer or a downloader. So I got my PTCL DSL upgraded to 50 mbps on copper (Transform package on VDSL) [MENTION=35465]hamidkhatri[/MENTION]

I wanted to upgrade to 100 mbps from my 20 mbps, but the PTCL guy at their service center said that I should first upgrade to 50 to see if my line could handle it. So, I upgraded it to 50. The connection is as stable as it was when I had 20 mbps transform package on VDSL. The SNR margin has decreased from 360 to about 200 for downloading. And uploading SNR has dropped from 350 to about 300.

The speeds that I am getting on speedtest are downloading: 48.7 Mbps, Upload: 11.5 Mbps.
Real world downloading speeds are about 5.8 Mbps. Although I have observed that with speeds this high, you usually run into the issue of seeders on torrents.
