Growing up to these beats , playing your best character to Represent!...If you grew up like we did , you know how important the right sound track is for the right character and the right fight , so you know when that theme kicks in you ARE going to kick some serious ass....and thats why I thought making this thread was important.
here are some of my favourite beats... feel free to post your own, or if you want to collect download , help yourself!
ALEX and KEN's SFIII 3rd Strike theme
First time I heard this theme I was in Brooklyn visiting some cousins and they took me to a local arcade, feasted my eyes on SFIII 3rd strike for the first time and fell in love with it. Its jazzy beats more then just put me in the mood for facing some competition , I instantly became a fan of its OST. And now no matter where I am its jazzy beats will always remind me of Newyork and that arcade.
SEAN's SFIII Theme (remixed)
Found this remixed version on youtube and its really great, pretty relaxing and smooth. Sean has always been one of the coolest character to hit the SF scene, sure he another shoto but hes very different and i like his character as hes still a rookie and looks up to ken for guidence...for some reason I always like half baked underdog characters...and sean is just one of them...you know the characters who arent there yet but getting there...know what I mean?
And my All time favourite KOF 95 Rival Team Theme
I will never forget this theme, this theme has become a fighter's anthem for me...KOF95 was the game that pulled me into the fighting game scene...and it will always remain special no matter how old it gets . This theme...the background and the characters it represents will always be epic in my book.
KYO KOF'98 classic version arranged Theme
The best KOF in my opinion was KOF'98, SNK wasnt bankrupted back then , the arcades were still open in karachi and heidern was included in the KOF '98 roster...what more can you ask for?...a brand new Kyo Theme thats uber cool?...OH HELL YEAH!
Listen to this , it starts slow but gets pretty darn good around half way through and will take you by surprise. This has more in comman with Japan team's KOF94 theme then the 96 one which is also my favourite.
KOF 99' Tears (Kyo's Theme)
KOF takes a new turn as the new hero K' is introduced , the next few KOFs will feature K' as the main character while Kyo and Iori take a back seat. The producers were excluding Kyo and Iori from the game because they solely wanted to wrap the story around K and his gang this time but they had to later add Kyo and Iori due to massive fan requests. And that was a good decision. Kyo makes a new apearance in KOF '99 ditching the school uniform for a cool lookin white jacket and faded jeans ... not a high school student anymore but more like a young man in control of his own destiny.
Kyo and Iori are unlockable characters in the arcade version of KOF '99. First time i saw Kyo's new attire I totally fell in love with the leather jacket and the jeans...this theme does justice to the new Kyo...totally fits the character and the mood.
Favourite KOF '99 moment is when you face Kyo and he takes out his old head band and burns it in his hand in front of his opponent before starting the fight showing him that "hes changed...not the same" ...and then this music kicks in...heh.
